Is he brainwashed or....?
by chrisauld inhi everyone, i'd like to tell about my dad's reasons for staying a jw!!.
firstly, does he believe the world was created?, yes.. secondly, does he believe in god?, yes.. what is the only book written, claiming to be the word of god?
the bible.. so here we have a man who believes in god and the bible.. so, taking the advice and information from the bible, it tells him that there will be a 'faithful and discreet slave class', by the way 'class' is a word i think was invented by jw's, but that's a different story.. 'they will be separate from the world', o.k, jw's, fine.. 'they will use the lords name-jehovah', o.k, jw's, again.. he also believes that they offer the best interpretation of revelations, that's opinion.. 'they will preach to all the inhabited earth', jw's mainly, i think, or at least , he thinks.. also, whenever he has fallen away and been really low, he has prayed, and he swears that both times, a jw has been at the door, even if they haven't been for months.. he knows they have made mistakes, but he thinks they are too close to what the bible says are the 'chosen ones', that he is willing to stick with them.. or is he brainwashed?.

I'm just bein' silly
by chrisauld injust to see if people can be bothered to reply to this; if jw's argument for the existence of god is 'just look around you, look at how beautifal and amazing it all is, it must have been created!!
', why do they then not carry that argument on and say 'which means the creator of this amazing planet must be even more amazing, and therefore must have definately been created!!'????.
instead when i asked that question, they just said 'well, u know, if u carry on asking questions like that, u'll end up spinning around in circles, u have to just accept that jehovoid has lived forever', for me it's easier to accept that the world evolved than it is to believe that god has lived forever!!..

Where's the justice?
by chrisauld inhi everyone, one thing that really made me question how 'just' jehovah really is, is how he could kill all the innocent children at the time of armageddon, and yet resurrect a 70 year old man who died a firm atheist????.
also, he would have a distinct advantage, u know, being brought back to life, it would convince me, anyway.. any comments?.

False prophets
by chrisauld inhi, i can't remember what scripture it is, but, somewhere it warns of false prophets, there's probably loads of examples.
anyway, jw's are false prophets like the rest of them.
all the predictions for the end of the world never came true.

Problems after JWism
by chrisauld inhi everyone, i'd just lke to see if anyone has experienced any of the problems i have as a result of leaving j-dubs.. i know that it is quite common for people to have anxiety or 'panic' attacks.
these are when a person feels uncomfortable in a certain situation that can result in them feeling as if they are about to die.. i have noticed that since leaving, i have had quite a few of these attacks.
i don't know if it is coinsidence or attributed to.... i tend to get them in social situations, whether it be on a bus, just generally talking to people, walking down the street, eating at tables with people.. i have had to go to the doctor because i have had heart palpitations(fast heart beating).

Is there life after JW?
by chrisauld inhi everyone, i'm new to this whole internet thing, i always thought that the internet was 'wrong', i guess.
i was just wandering if anyone else was finding it hard to get on in life after deciding that jw's are not the 'truth'.
does anyone else feel the struggle to find a substitute?
