Russell was sympathetic with many not just the Masons. If you read his writing he refers to other groups always as Friends or Christian Friends. He was opposed to systems but never to people. This is sadly not the case in the WTBS today

Who REALLY controls Jehovah's Witnesses..????
by Darkside999 inlet me begin by saying i was raised in a witness household.. now that i am older i like to question things and see where they really come from.
i always found it strange that so many people would blinding think they the society has any real power or knowledge.. first of all the origins are probably evil.
as russel was a 33rd degree mason, and founed skull and bones an evil satanic cult and jehovah's witnesses?

A girl I work with loves garage sales. She got me a great umbrella for my outdoor table for ten dollars with stand and it was a good thick fabric one. She gets great things all the time. I personally hate shopping so I don't really have the patience for it. The occasional flea market maybe but bouncing house to house is not for me.

Elders appointed by Holy Spirit???

yet i cannot ever recall being directed to a scripture which proved all elders were appointed by holy spirit.
it seems that everyone just accepted that they were, including myself , and yet how is this possible considering how many i've seen were corrupt when appointed.. any others think about this when in the org

I could really see the holy spirit in the Elder that came to my door last year to tell me if a women could not prove she was abused by her husband he would tell her to return to her husband. What a stupid thing to say to someone who wasn't even baptised. That was the straw that broke my back.

and they let there children read this garbage. This is totally not appropriate for public consumptions. Christian are suppose to be like children discussing what is good and upbuilding not this garbage. Christians are also suppose to mind their own business and that means staying out of others peoples marriage beds. i have heard that Elders harass people who confess of sexual sin for every single details. Such perversion is disgusting

Also, keep in mind that JW's were know as Bible Students then and that they did not distinguish between Russell following Bible Students not part of the society(Current Bible Students) and Rutherford following Bible Students(Current JWs)

Do you think that most "thin"people have hatred towards "heavy" people?
by booker-t ini know this might sound abit "paranoid" but as i mentioned on other posts before i am a "heavy" person who is losing weight.
so far i have lost 65 pounds and i am still losing through a "strict"diet and exercise.
i was at a restaurant the other day and there were 4 "thin" people sitting at a table across from a "very heavy overweight" man.

I am myself average. I'm not thin by any means but I am not overweight either. If I see someone that is very very heavy where they struggle to do basic things, I feel very bad for them. I know that they are using food to cope with much more serious problems.

by ArtfulDodger ini see this site gets thousands of postings every day .. from literally thousands of members, mostly ex-dubs, from all over the world.. rather than simply go on moaning and whinging about the big nasty org why don't you all put your efforts into something positive ... do something.. ok - the org is evil .. but it exists ... and simply whining on about it doesn't change that.
with your efforts directed at something positive, you could do wonders for .
.for anything you choose.. hundreds of real charities could do with your support - to help the really needy .

Many here do many charitable things. With that said. Everyone who leaves the organization or is trying to leave must go through the the process of recovery. Once recovered they stay to support those who are in the process they successfully finished. This model works with many organizations. I know alcohalic who haven't had a drink in decades but return to the meetings week after week to support those who are in the process they have already gotten through.

I don't think they are planning the attack, they are just interpretating the Watchtowers destruction. I see it no different then a JW interpreting the destruction of all worldly people. The death prediction they have are only a drop in the bucket compared to the number the WTBS is predicting will fall.
