i celebrate christmas each year and do no consider myself a christian in any way.
my spouse does not either and we are raising our son to be non-christian.
so why do i celebrate christmas, because i can.

My cousin, who is a devote dub, told that if I don't believe in jesus I shouldn't celebrate xmas. So you shouldn't celebrate xmas if you're a christian because it's pagan, but you shouldn't celebrate xmas if you're a pagan because it's christain. Yep!

Yes, I tried to make return visits and I just hated doing so. Fortunately, usually they weren't home, but when they were they usually told me to f*** off.

I always hated that expression, jojoba willing. Does that mean bad things happen because jojoba is willing? Very contradictory to the dub beliefs. Of course, that doesn't bother the average dub.

When I was a MS I had to do the bible highlights on this one. I was just blown over. I looked for info in the WT crap. They had some ludicrous explanation, so I used it in my talk. Nobody seemed to think it was odd. Mrs. Kessel was visiting us at the time and I asked her about it, since she's such a dyed-in-the-wool dub. She said women didn't have any value in those days. Anybody have the specicif bible reference?

in a poll with a few of my friends, all who studied with either us or our parents are now not considered dubs.
As far as I know mrs. kessel, the woman who used to be my mother, is still a steadfast, dyed-in-wool dub.
our 15 year old dog died this afternoon..............with assistance from a veterinarian friend of rachel's (princess).
she was old, sick, and with multiple health issues.
it was a really hard decision, but the vet really helped ease my mind, by assuring me it was time.

tomorrow is my master's thesis defense.
i've been working on my master's degree in applied linguistics for three years.
i'm really nervous in spite of the fact that the defense has nothing to do with my grade.

I'm really nervous in spite of the fact that the defense has nothing to do with my grade. The grade is based totally on the thesis itself and my thesis director says I will pass. I hope so because he's really put me through the mill. I finished it in May, but I've had to make many changes to please the thesis director.
In spite of the fact I was in minstry school for many years, I'm not a good public speaker. I will be giving a 30 minute presentation and then the thesis committee has one hour to ask questions. What a mightmare.
