over the history of the watchtower society, they have published numerous medical articles with warnings of dangerous substances such as aluminium and others promoting quack medicines which never worked.
is it not strange, that the people choosen as "god's channel" would get these things wrong?
even stranger is the lack of information on truly dangerous substances.
What is "phalidamide?"

it was a total blast!
i camped at the vw bus camp for a second year (drove over 700 miles in my 67 split window).
I was planning on going last year, but didn't. A friend of mine from Providence did go, and was killed at the event during the final burning. He was severely burned, and lived for three days in the hospital before dying.

i cannot believe how credulous many jws are regarding the religions near obsession with supernatural beings.
apparently young kids misbehaving is a result of demons.
what irritates me the most is that this woman was more concerned with an alleged person with a "dangerous mind" placing the tract she left back on the car, than the fact that she left two children alone in a parked car.
I would think that the society's own publications (in this case, the tract) should carry some sort of inherent demon-proofing. Otherwise, couldn't a "dangerous mind" working at the post office somehow demonize the materials while in transit to the Kingdom hall? Perhaps they spray the materials with Demon-B-Gone (tm) when they arrive in the mail.
Seriously though, the very fact that anyone could POSSIBLY reationalize these (or any such) events to "demons" is so outlandish that it makes me cringe to think that I was ever associated with such an irrational group of people. Her experience is not something that others in the group would think about rationally. They would simply accept the "fact" that her kids were bad, that demons caused it, and that these demons were somehow attached to a piece of paper. It is certainly a good thing that the demons didn't crawl out of the paper and into the dashboard of her car, or she may have been forced to burn that as well just to be sure.

i have a couple of questions that no one has been able to answer, as apparently, no one else at the hall has thought of it.
my question is regarding the command that jehovah gave adam regarding eating from the tree.
genesis 2:16 says "and jehovah god also laid this command upon the man: "from every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction.
Before posing that question, it may be more helpful to consider another; Does Satan really exist? If no, then a great deal more starts to make sense as well, as much of what it taught at the Kingdom Hall can be viewed as based on simple folk stores and superstition, not reality.
for me, it was the nfc championship game three years ago in order to attend the meeting, then, on top of that, the elders had *scheduled* a meeting for that day as well, to discuss the co visit.
then there was a "supplemental" elder's school held a few years back that took me away from the afc title game.
oh, i taped the stuff, but time-shift recording of sports just doesn't cut it.
A life.
have any of you seen this email message going around?

an unemployed brother is desperate to support his family.
That story has been making the rounds for years in one form or another.
It was originally told as a joke, but over the years some people picked up on it as though it were true, and have personalized it for various companies (or in this case, religions).
Here are two other variations of the same hackneyed tale;
