  what is the wbts policy on jury duty?

  are they allowed to participate?.

  i've been called to go on january 2nd, to be active throughout the entire month of january, but i can't afford to be off work for only $15 a day.

  Some of the questions that were asked :

  Would you tend to accept a police officer's word over that of the defendant because he is a police officer?

  Do you know the D.A.?

  Do you know the defendant?

  Can you be impartial?

  Have you formed an opinion in the case?

  Answering "Yes" to the first three and a "No" answer on the fourth would probably get you out.

  The charge was vehicular homicide. I was not a member of the jury.

  "Investigators learned the gunman opened fire at a group of worshipers as they were leaving the hall. Everyone was able to run back into the church."

  Article doesn't say anyone was left outside does it? It say everyone was able to run inside. Sounds like that includes the person hit.

  Should Uninvited D to D Work of Jehovah's Witnesses be against the Law?

  i agree that everyone should have the right to practice thier own religion, as long as it doesn't interfere with another person right to privacy and right to not be harassed in their own home by those who feel they have the better religion.. the door to door work of jws is harassment, when you consider that they call for the most part in the morning, univited to talk about why there religion is the right one and often have very bad things to say about other belief systems, which has the potential of disturbing the peace.

  Who's next?

  Suppose your neighbor doesn't want the Girl Scouts coming around selling them cookies? Wouldn't such a law also put an end to this as well?

  During the recent elections canvassers were out and about drumming up support for various political candidates. What happens if someone objects to their coming around, make it illegal as well?

  I think the Supreme Court has already settled this issue on more than one occasion.

  here's the story,.

  been "inactive" for 2.5 years.from that day forward my elder brother, sister and parents have treated me as an apostate, seeing how i told them i didn't believe in their bible or god.

  i have been exluded from everything but since getting pregnant, my parents now want to be part of the babies life (just to "save" the child i'm sure, but thats what monitors are for).

  DNA too flawed as second witness

  i finally got my hands on the wt library on cd (2005) and searched for myself.

  i wanted to see if there is any indication that the society allows dna evidence as one of the "two or three witnesses" requirements when it comes to testimony in child molestation or rape cases in the congregation.

  we all know that molesters and rapists usually make sure that nobody is watching when they work their evil.

  And I could find NOTHING in the article that would indicate DNA evidence would NOT be accepted in such a case.

  No I do not. I said no such thing and have yet to see anything that would support your claim to the contrary.

  Since I have no such "rationale" this has no bearing.

  two witness rule

  what exactly is the two witness rule regarding the witnesses stance on child abuse?..am i right in thinking that this means that unless there are two witnesses to the child abuse, witnesses are forbidden to go to the police..surely this cannot be so twisted.
