  i hate cars.

  they just cost money and eventually rust away.. however, given that it's pretty difficult to do anything without one in north america and that we now need another because angharad got a job (yay), does anyone have any good suggestions?.

  How do I get a Witness to do some deep research on Russell? Any Pointers?

  i feel most witnesses don't know of the history behind russell and the beginnings of the society.

  they're bent on "origins" of things, but we know that the wts keeps material and knowledge to a minimal on the origins of the society, and specifically russell.

  to a co-worker, i hinted at the pyramid memorial about russell, and he said he didn't know what i was talking about (a 20 year jw veteran).. any pointers on how i can ease the subject into "forbidden" conversation around the witnesses at work?

  You most likely would be wasting your time. Russell has no bearing TODAY. Yes he started the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society but so what?

  Not sure why anyone would be shocked over it. It also has no bearing today. It's trivial. Although I'm happy to see that you didn't refer to this as Russell's grave marker or headstone.

  From my earliest years I can remeber being taught to hate the sin yes, but not the individual.

  last night on the news a woman was told by a store manager that she could not in public breastfeed her child.

  she and her husband were quite offended and complained to the company's main offices.

  they are now looking into this situation.. what's your opinion?

  How we treat someone who used a blood transfusion or smoked can vary because there are different considerations though we also oppose eating blood or smoking tobacco.   the dateline show on jws hiding pedophiles was one of several "defining moments" in my process of questioning "the truth".
