i really hate thunder storms, must admit.
i try not to hide in my basement anymore though, shuddering in a corner, reading a book by flashlight waiting for them to pass.
unplugging all electrical applicances, telephone outlets, like a mad woman... looks like we're gonna get one tonight, it's getting closer to us, as per weather.com.
i used to be terrified of storms....but not anymore....i just don't care about them...come what may!!
i live in a trailor with a metal roof,,,,so the sound effects are really loud!!! high winds,,,feel the trailor
shake,,,,am i scared?? nope....let it come,,,,,i don't care....
i've had a hard time finding a place just to chat with jw's.
i'm not baptized...only studying.
yet, i know this is truth and jehovah is the true god.

on the night of the second i decided to go to bed without the heater for the first time (it's the tail end of winter here).
at midnight i woke up, shivering of extreme cold, even though i had a reasonable pile of blankets on.
drink herbal tea's with some brandy or whiskey,,,,real strong!!!!! it definately helps....want you both
to get well....hang in there....sending get well hugs....
today has been as rough day for me.
i got up this morning hoping our van would pass the ontario emission tests for clean driving.
we put 400.00 dollars to make sure it would pass and it didn't pass it failed and to beat that we are at our daughters home a couple of hours away from our home.

gwen and i went on a mission .
going in as a couple of "interested ones"...into a kh that i was reasonably sure i wouldn't be recongnized as the "uadna-ri" i went in with a hidden wire and tape recorder to get the "evidence".
on this site you will find links to 4 audio files... the first two are "the part", and the other two files are an audio clip of the "love bombing" attack we got when we left the first meeting, and the reading of a letter to "all congregations" concerning the discontinuation of subscriptions.. as with all jw things, it is interesting to hear the comments made by the speaker, things not written in the km, and views, attitudes, and references made when speaking of how to treat disfellowshipped family members.. all in all, i am glad we went on this misssion.
i got the sound to work,,,but was only able to listen for a few minutes...god for awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry it has been so long since i last posted on the site...im glad to be back again .....and hope to now post regulary.. as we all stop to remember the life changing events of september 11th 2001....i too reflect on the week that changed my life forever.
it is now coming up to a year since i was kicked out (9th september) by my 'mother', who is a jehovah's witness....and a year since i left the religion.......it was no easy decision to make....and one that i didnt take lightly....but it was bascially made for me when i realised that no one in the congregation believed me......and i was shunned.... for months i had my doubts that i had made the worst decision of my life...... and just recently asked to have a meeting with an elder........but i 'woke up' to myself..and realised nothing had changed........that the matter had been swept under the carpet....and no one was....nor is prepared to do anything about it..... its taken a year but im moving on with my life....im trying to let go off the anger, resentment and despair that i feel towards the past.......life's too short to live in the past.........it's not easy by any standards trying to let go of the guilt, and trying to find yourself...... i'm finding out what the real me is like.......im not told anymore who i should be, what im doing wrong...and what i should be thinking....im now living life as i feel i should live it....sure people still judge me....but at the end of the day...i have to live with my decisions and their consequences............. it's certainly a lot harder not being a jehovah's witness...well at least in the early stages...but as time passes i appreciate life more everyday...........im glad i was able to take that step out of my comfort zone (religion) when i did...... .

there has been plenty of drama in my life the last few weeks, and my time has been absorbed by it.
my grandma is seriously ill, and has but a few more months to live.

family...do nothing different....they will not cause a scene....
