  I have no idea how to overcome the use of our vehicles. And my comments the last few days do not reflect how I really feel. Just itching for a fight I guess, taking pot shots at swalker, making myself look like an absolute imbecile.

  If we were in Europe I would be glad to tell you that we have a wonderful mass transit system to get everyone around in a convenient and safe manner but that is not the case. The US has not planned for its citizens to travel by any other means than by auto. Forcing us to deal with the rising gas prices. Personally, I think everyone in the US should just stop for one day. No one should go to work, play, eat, nothing. They should demand that the government force the oil companies to look into alternative means of fuel, which we all know exist.

  I am not a republican or a democrat. I think they are all corrupt and they all are making entirely too much money off of the backs of hard working people just trying to make a living. So, I guess my solution is a country wide strike. Which will never happen. Or we could all move to a really big city and walk everywhere instead of drive. Not exactly possible either. So, no solutions here just offering more problems.

  I was thinking about the laser hair removal, but an esthetician told me that it isn't permanent. If it is I would gladly have it done instead of the constant waxing and shaving.

  Never throw away those Watchtowers and Awakes!

  it is a sin to throw away your watchtowers and awakes.

  you must let them build up and up and up, until you need to store them in boxes that will be places in corners of the attic or basement.

  when you find them years later, still do not throw them away or you will die at armageddon!

  I used to let mine pile up. I don't know how many times we moved and hauled all of the bound volumes everywhere we went. So, about a year ago, even before I had completely quit attending the Hall, I burned them all. It took three days, prettiest fire I ever saw.

  I have never even heard of sugaring. I guess they don't do that around here either. Thank you for the advice on the tea tree oil.

  Completely off the subject. Why aren't you supposed to use tea tree oil while you are pregnant?

  I plan on paying someone else to do it. It is to difficult to pull the strips off myself. But, I agree, it is a bit masochistic.

  Just this month I threw mine out. And it wasn't the newest one. I refused to sign the one from last year because it didn't even show that it was a scriptural stand that we were taking. After the watchtower study about a year ago, everyone walked away confused and didn't know where they stood anymore, either. The society has gone back and forth to much and frankly, they don't even know where they stand.

  Being a trained witness I have an aversion to receiving someone else's blood. The idea is rather disgusting but I am do not think that it is something that the bible condemns. There have been quite a few discussions on this board that have shed quite a bit of light on it for me. My family and I have discussed it length and all of us think that it is a rather questionable issue. I am definately not averse to storing my own blood for later use but the blood will only last for a few months. If my son were in need of medical attention, I would ask the doctors to try everything possible before a blood transfusion, but would give him one if necessary. It is hard to get over being brain washed for so many years but I am trying to break the bindings.

  Jesus gave blood to save humanity, obviously he and Jehovah valued life enough to do so.

  Yeah, the other areas are not a problem. Though as yet I haven't tried, ahem, Brazilian. Thinking I might try it with the same appointment as the legs. Little chicken though.

  i would just like to make a couple of points, and would be interested in responses to them.

  Second, in the part in Matthew which describes "the last days," it says that "you will be hated of all nations for my name's sake."

  Welcome. The scriptures do say that you will be hated for my names sake. Referring to Jesus Christs' name, not Jehovah's name.

  Acts 11:26 - "...and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians."

  No where in the scriptures is it mentioned that one of the identifying marks of chosen people was the use of Jehovah's name. They were called Christians by divine providence. Followers of Christ.

  If Jehovah wanted them called Jehovah's Witnesses would this not have been an opportune time to institute that name instead of Christians.
