  Well,

  I would probably be counseled for cussing like a sailor and then disfellowshipped for lack of repentance for the counsel I received.

  Definately Df'd for being on this website. Not repentant

  Not believing in the group of men that call themselves the GB. Not repentant

  The occasional pornea that my husband and I enjoy together and I am not repentant for this either.

  Oh and telling people happy birthday and sending my sister a gift for her bday for the first time in my life. It was quite fun. Not repentant

  And being glad that I left a group of jerky people and knowing that even if by some small crazy chance that they are right some how some where some way being glad that I don't have to live forever with them.

  Im so sick (literally) of morning sickness\all day sickness

  hey guys.

  sorry i just felt like sooking....my morning sickness which lasts all day is getting worse, ive been vomitting now for 7 weeks, i cant seem to keep anything down.. i know i should be grateful that im pregnant and i am, i am just finding it really hard to deal with the sickness this time round, i have tried vitamin b6 but does nothing for me.

  with my son this lasted bout 5 months.. es

  The recent Rolling Stones Magazine has an article on the Scientologists. It is pretty amazing. And the South Park episode that is about Scientology is not supposed to be aired any longer. Anyway, that is what the article said.

  They sounded pretty odd but if you took out a few things they sounded just like JW's. Kind of freaky.

  I don't think that I was intentionally. I was classified as a goody 2 shoes because I have very high standards for myself. I don't think that having high standards are wrong. Though, when you use them to judge others they are. It seems that what friends I did have were always the ones on the edge that didn't get acceptance. I felt sorry that others would not associate with them. Which is strange because the others were worse than the ones they ignored. They would live their double life style and then be mean to others who were not spiritually mature like they were.

  i was talking to my aunt the other day.

  she knows i talk to you apostate folks and i don't think she's very comfortable with it, but that's her problem.. she did, however, ask a question that seems particularly important, not only in and of itself, but even more so when you apply it more generally.. the question was: what do you people have now that you're out?

  Everyone else has pretty much summed it up. Relief, Freedom, no more guilt, no more men (that I do not know) micromanaging my life, and as goofy as I used to think this sounded before, I have found Jesus. The greek scriptures are full of believe in Jesus, and before I didn't, I believed in the F&DS. They were Jesus and Jehovah, they guided me and taught me. Now, I read the bible with a different understanding and I don't need anyones interpertation. Now, I don't have to think about only six million or less people making it into a new system. And I can actually believe in a God of love.

  Serious Question: Spanking

  ive never been punished like that i my home.

  my family always talked to me and we would decide a non-physical punishment.

  i was wandering, is still common for jw family to spank their children and if so, does the spanking continue into their late teens, even adults.

  We were spanked, mostly by my mother (my brothers would laugh at her spankings), though when my dad got a hold of us it was trouble. It got progressively less with each child after the first. My oldest brother was spanked the most and my parents both are sorry for that. The baby, my youngest sister, received only two spankings her whole life, brat, (ha ha).

  My sister in law started spanking her baby at the meetings when he was only 3-4 months old. I was horrified and vowed that I would not spank my child at the kingdumb hell.

  A few years ago, when I still thought that there was some truth taught at the KH, I would bring my son to the meetings but would not spank him for bad behavior. He would get time outs and such. I thought, that if the KH became a beating ground, when he was older he wouldn't want to come back because he associated it with abuse.

  Different children react differently to punishment. On the rare occasion that he is spanked it does nothing for him. So, for him taking away his toys or time outs work the best. Though, I notice that the only times I actually have spanked him, it is out of my frustration and I am not thinking the punishment through. Basically, a bad reaction on my part.

  Cleaning the Kingdom Hall

  what part of the hall was your favorite part to clean?

  was it the bathrooms, the main hall, library or lunch room perhaps...did people use cleaning the hall as an excuse to get self-righteous?

  I didn't like cleaning any part of it. I usually needed to be home cleaning my house and mowing my yard but you know it was "sacred service" we had to do it.

  It was fun when we were kids and the parents cleaned and we played on the stage with the microphones, acted silly, crawled under all the chairs and basically did everything that we were not allowed to any other time.

  Yes, I do think that there are those people that if they do anything extra they get puffed up about it.
