1. bethel in ny suspect high level apostate, cant identify it but know its there.

2. major organizational changes about to start rolling out, one is changes to the "service committee" and titles, po to be done away with, thats all i know for now.

was told that if you are the sort of person that cant handle changes, you wont stay in the org for long.

I don't believe that Barr is the apostate. At the last DC that we attended he was the bethel speaker (two and a half years ago Ft. Worth, TX). I went up to speak to him and give him the green handshake. His eyes looked completely empty and he is just really really old. I was hoping to feel something that made me change my mind about the org. Obviously didn't work. He didn't seem to have the ability to be fighting with anyone but I could be wrong. Not like that hasn't happened before.

Wish me luck!! Having surgery in the morning...

i'm having a minor outpatient surgery in the morning in charlotte.

the hospital just called me and asked me how i felt about blood transfusions and if i had any religious beliefs that would hinder my medical care.

they still had listed from years and years ago, that i was a jw.

Were You Ever Snubbed In The Hall & Didn't Know Why???

were you ever treated by the elders, their families and "the friends" in a way that made you feel you were unwanted?.

there's probably nothing worse than realizing that you are not being treated with the same dignity and love as others.

once we come out of the organization, we expect better but sadly the real world can be cruel too.

Oh yeah, when I was in one hall one of my friends decided that she was mad at me and turned all of the young ones in the hall against me.

They treated me like I was disfellowshipped. It went on for quite some time until I had to go to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy

then she came up the hospital and told me she was sorry and wanted to be friends again. I forgave her, it takes a lot to look someone in the

face and say sorry.

But, I don't think the treatment was unusual. It happened at most halls. They have to be one of the meanest and unloving groups of people

I have ever met. "You will know my disciples by the love they have among themselves" what a crock!

BETHELITES - Whatever Became of?

i often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.

while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).

a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.

Yeah, I know that Jonathan Jones and Thad Jones. Jonathan (aka cherry John newby) was a real party animal. Always surfing and drinking. Crazy guy, lots of fun. Thad was quite a guy too, though haven't heard from him in about two years. Still serving the beast.

There were others that you failed to mention that were there (migh still be): Charles Sorrenson (aka Bods), Wade Burhaugher (spelling?), Dave White (one of Jonathan's roommates), Billy Edmett (spelling), Scott Creamer, Bob (aka Sprayer Bob) can't remember his last name, Tom Susko. So many others, just can't remember their names. Carissa Griffin and her husband, Richie Fisher ( who came home to get married but they made sure to commit fornication first and cover it up and then tell on themselves after their big fancy wedding and then act like they were gods gift to the congo. Never really got in trouble. Elders kid) Marty and Deborah Conners.

Always fun to know someone else knows.

i was molested by a jw.

he was a young man about 19 yrs.old and he went to bethel after molesting me and i was only about 12 or 13 yrs.old.

i have never told anyone because i was so afraid of being disfellowshipped for letting this happen to me.

Just wanted to share with all a very nice article letter written in my moms newspaper:

Church of Santa
Assassinations. Invasions. Suicide attacks killing innocent and unknown men, women and children. All over the world it seems these things and
others just as ghastly are done by fanatics in the guise of some religious mandate, or by political leaders with the belssing of their god.
As for me, I've decided to become a follower of Santa Clause and I invite others to join me.
Santa Claus loves and values humanity. He doesn't discriminate. He doesn't torture or kill people. The primary purpose of his being is to bring joy,
comfort and happiness to others.
He makes one judgment of his fellow man: either you're naughty or nice. If you're naughty, you don't get any toys. Seems fair to me. Not too strict
--no torture or execution-- but certainly a good reason to be nice.
The world would be a much better place if we would all become followers of Santa. The current alternatives don't seem to be working.
