  JW's and "Nick names"

  i knew a brother who had a nick name, and when he became a witness, he didn't want to be called by his nickname anymore....he was brother x from now on.

  or just use his real name.. imagine going to your hall, and calling someone by his nickname instead.. i'm sure the eldrers would want to talk to you at the end of the meeting.

  on another thread they were talking about the lack of joy and mental health problems coming from jw kids not being allowed to participate at class dances, sports and so forth.

  the lack of the joyfulness of birthdays is another factor.

  why not leave some copies of this in your kingdom halls and assemblies if you still attend.

  when my brother was "in" first as ms, then elder he didnt get along with my mother or 2 brothers and 3 sisters who are also jw's.

  they didn't get along with him either btw.

  this guy was the epitome of the judgemental, scripture quoting a'hole jw that i'm sure most of you have come across a time or two.

  Multiple Universes – are aliens actual “divine beings” of the Bible

  this is a topic i wanted to have a discussion about for quite some time but didnt know if anyone at all would be interested.

  there is quite a buzz in scientific community in last 10 years about real possibility that our universe is only one of say 10 to the power of 500 universes around all in their separate dimensions.

  such a notion is truly mind-boggling when you think of what the implications really are.

  i did, i was thinking of how many jws are either a little weird, a bit eccentric or even borderline crazy!

  we had one man in our hall that used to love giving people he liked duck eggs.

  he'd try to get you to eat them before meetings for field service.
