  Any Suggestions for Curbing Kids' Internet Access?

  what kind of measures do other parents take to help kids navigate the internet safely?.

  i hate msn and other iming programs - there's far too much potential for mischief with that service available.. are there some easy ways to block sites or isps?

  or is it better to set it up with approved sites only?.

  An Assembly "Experience"-and the rest of the story

  a brother was on the program for the saturday afternoon session as one of those "life experiences" interviews.

  tells the tale about how he left a lucrative, well paying position to "help where the need was greater.

  " moved from a major metropolitan area to a congregation in the rurals, was told by managers that the job he was going to was "a dead end".

  How about my experience Bros?
  
  TWO couple and one single Bro left Bethel because "the need was great" at my ex-congo. The second set had JUST found an Apt, and signed the lease when the congo was dissolved (IE: the Bros were re-assigned to other congos) leaving those five, and several others, in a strange city with no mo' congo.
  
  Sucks to one of the obediant ones, but they really live for that kind of drama. Guess they feel they are earning points with the Big guy.

  illegal cable

  have any of you (especially those familiar with the jw's in the jamaica, queens congs in nyc) heard of the dubs subscribing to illegal cable.

  about ten or so years ago there was a big scam in the queens area with a couple of elders who ran a bogus insurance scam, some were df'd, was even mentioned here on the board, around that time a sister who is a hairdresser/teacher told me that she and her family had illegal hbo, why she pointed out that it was illegal i'll never know, but was just wondering did some " smart, insightful follower of jehovah" figure out a way for the christian bros and sis to get pay channels without paying?

  i know for a fact that this family has been caught up with because they can no longer subscribe to hbo even if they wanted to (legitimally) through time warner, unless they were given a certain amount of years and the time has run out.. another thing that gets my goat with this christian family is that as mentioned above the wife is a special ed teacher, doesn't that take a certain amount of years of college?

  Time card fraud is stealing. Only the big-boys get to steal from the government. Janitors get surveillance when they are suspected of stealing time and fired when there is a basis of evidence.
  
  Just write an anonymous note to your school board commissioner or whatever they call them in the burroughs, and wave bye-bye to the nice janitor.

  I *THINK* that's the same old mutlti purpose arena they use for the Dubz.
  
  The NEW convention center is as nice as any in the country and has a view of the cruise ships. The old one has no exhaust fans in the terlits, so they have to prop the doors open as all the oldsters empty themselves of what they are full of, lest the stench send them all to the New System.
  
  So guess which venue the WTS uses?
  
  It was pretty cool today because I counted THREE other RVs in the lot. One of them was definately watching porn judging from the noises coming from his TV.

  I brought the RV and was BBQ'ing chicken and steak all through lunch break but nobody introduced themselves.
  
  Anyone know what all the W. bound traffic was about? I've never seen it that bad at mid-day on a weekend before. It was even worse on Saturday.

  Billy Idol in Vegas was pretty hot, the lezbo threesome doing it in front of me as we stood right in front fo the stage was a fitting accompaniment to his badness. The fat chick dumping her beer on my black leather slacks pretty much stank though. I'd hang out with Billy! The Who for my 16-17th birthday was another pretty good show. You forget what live music really is with all the overprocessed junk out there. Springsteen in XXX bar in Asbury Park right after "Darkness on the Edge of Town" came out. That was before his pop-crap like "Born in the USA" etc. Great sound and Bruce and Clarence were an unforgettable, natural team.

  Hey guys! The part went great today and I appreciate the applause. Was it you guys? Snuck out a bit early and am typing by the pool downing a few very cold brews, It's HOT out here today!
  
  So here's the news..There were NO people between the ages of say 18-35 at the convention. Everyone was either in diapers or using the other diapers, the ones for oldsters. It's strange because it's like a sandwich, you have the bread on the outside, but nothing of substance in-between.
  
  4,000 attendees with 20 baptisms; that's not enough to match the 1% death rate.
  
  Anyway for the good story. First, I wandered the halls a bit, and noticed that the Lady's bathroom doors were all propped open. (An arena employee later explained to me that it's an older building and not designed for all day use; the smell builds up from all the #2 and it has no place to go so they leave the doors open when it's an all day affair. People can generally "hold" the #2 when they go to a sports event, and there is not such a big smell problem.) I naturally looked and got a free show of all the Sister'
  s underwear around their ankles and their legs up to their knees while they attended to business. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary, just walked down the main concourse that leads around the arena and turned my head! It's not like I whipped out my -camera- to take pics to post here or anything! While I really dislike Witnesses, I hate hypocrisy and vulgarity more.
  
  So it's off to the Chairman's office. I ripped his Attendantary a new one about the shame of the Sisters having to put their underwear on display to all just to have a pee and then did the same to the Chairman in front of all the POs. I then questioned the judgement of individuals who are so conditioned to obey that they don't feel comfortable closing a bathroom door even though they are on display otherwise. (Yes I still gave the part)
  
  Aftermath is that after a 20 minute discussion (I timed it) a male Attendant walks down the hall and closes the doors. Later that day, after lunch, they were open again with two brothers with the "Keep Moving" signs standing in front.
  
  Later I'll tell about the lady who kept giving my toddler daughter nasty looks because she had the gall to breathe or something, AND THEN THE WOMAN'S CELL PHONE RANG in the middle of "Oppose da Debbil"! My prayer was answered and vengence was mine!
