Two days before Hurricane Ivan, the Dubz began streaming out of the city, "advised" to do so by the book-study leaders. Some would up as far as Gainesville, Altanta or even further because all of the cheap hotels were booked.
While they were leaving, I was busy bolting up 1/2 inch plywood over corregated metal shutters over every window and door of my home. I called Culligan and had then lay in a huge store of water, threw extra chlorine in the pool, put all the outside furniture in storage and fortified the garage doors. Lost some plants and the back fence in the 150 MPH gusts.
Net result is that when the Dubz were finally allowed to return 4-5 days after the storm they found their houses trashed. Glass broken (because they did not cover it), roofs blown off (because the wind got in) and everything they owned wet. Two brothers *DIED* in the unimaginable traffic that resulted when all of the return roads were closed.
The curious part is how they praised the Watchtower when we put new roofs on their houses after the disaster; roofs that in most cases would not have been needed if they had just taken basis precautions.
Yeah so go right ahead and follow their advice

by Witness 007 inyes i thought rutherford's policy on kid's was dead and the society had wised up....until i read the new "witnesses only" watchtower study magazine...compare.. rutherford's last book "children" 1942 = p.281 "wait until after armagedon to bring children into the world...it is only afew years before the other sheep are gathered to the lord, until armagedon...those with infants during armagedon will have greater woe...it would be a far greater difficulty to care for them during the tribulation.".

An ApostaCruize sounds like something that my wife would leave me over. If we do it, could you guys hide the Debbil Horns and tails for the duration?
I only pumped 1000 gallons of marine diesel at $4.00 per. Capacity is 1,250 gallons which is damn sure going to last until winter.
I guess I'll be doing a lot of pier parties until the next hurricane sinks her. -

Incidentally, one of the biggest gripes (did I say that? People in service to Jah don't complain!) of foreign language congoes is that the members can literally spend an entire farking day driving all around and never talk to a soul!
At least if you re preaching the primary lauage you can park and walk rather than doing a stop, then having to load up and drive to the other side of the territory just to find that elusive furriner.
Biggest joke was when Bros would ASS-ume people with foreign sounding names would for some reason want to speak to JWs in pidgen-speak when obviously both spoke perfect English, -

Because we all know that Jehovah fully approves of two believers who unite in matrimony correct?
Certainly the Bible goes on at length about husbands and wives and the marital bond between them, but I havn't been able to find where "wife" is defined as a woman.
It's all about the Bible right and we are not just bigots? So if the Bible says "Marry" then when can a legally married gay couple take over the WT study?
Certainly there are OT admonishments about "men lying with men" but it also forbids unmarried M/F sex; these are legally married people we are discussing, not some one-night stand.
Any help on how I can make some jaws drop with "logic" flawed or otherwise? Hell make like the WT and snip a three word quote out of a Scripture for me! They go for that crap all day long!
