The whole system is built around members being controlled to the point where they are asked to drop everything at a moment's notice to do Org. bidding; that includes their jobs.
A case in point would be the visitation of the CO or DO. Rather than doing the "humble" thing and adhering to the meeting schedule that the Dubz have in many cases painfully organized, a CO visit means that every congo member, their families, Employers and co-workers need to make an "adjustment" so that the CO can keep his own schedule.
In many cases the JS's jobs are hanging on by a thread because of all the crazy schedule requests they are forced to make already.
Then the CO is almost certain to scold and mock the working members of the congo because they like to be able to buy food for their kids.
Then he will accept cash donations from all.

The financial pitfalls of being a jdub
by lovelylil ini recently learned that a brother who used to be my husband's best friend sold his home and moved into his fathers house with his wife and two young kids.
this poor guy was always struggling with money issues because of not working extra because of the meetings and he was an elder so he had a lot of responsibilties and could not do much overtime.
also he never went to higher education and was a self taught painter but had no medical insurance which put a strain on the family financially.. i know other people outside the jdubs have financial problems too but don't you agree the witnesses seem to have a large proportion of their members living on or below the poverty line?

The sneeze thing isn't a bad idea, but the reason for doing it is that my wife doesn't believe that they are such whores that they accept cash gifts from the Bros.
I've already alerted her to my scheme.
I'm also arriving early enough to park my Ferrari at the entrance so the good CO makes the connection. This is the same A S S that ordered a Dub mom with two babies to wait outside in the rain because one was cying. (Korean congo was utilizing the baby room and the library is for Elders only, the Mom later told everyone who would listen before she DAed that her babies were NOT going to "live in the crapper")
Fun Times! -

"Taking the lead in the Congregation"
by MinisterAmos inthe po talked about "obeying those who take the lead" one too many times last night so i point-blank asked him who was the leader of christianity during biblical times.
i couldn't get him to say "jesus" which is of course the correct answer, so i had to answer for him.
i then added that he would have had assistance from the apostles making them de facto "leaders" as well.

>Where did this conversation take place? Did other jws hear what you told the PO? What was their reaction?<
Right after the Public Talk in the lobby of the hall.
No witnesses. -

Well who does the scripture refer to?
I can see that loyal JWs would like to believe that the Bible refers to their beloved elders and Ministerial Servants, but I can't stop thinking that literal reading refers to Jesus and the Apostles.
Fortunately for WT leaders, nothing is taken literally.
Anyway I was tired and irritated with the pompous ass so I figured I'd blast him privately and kick him down a notch.
I will admit that I tried the same tactic on my wife (playing Devil's Advocate with the WT interpretation of leader) and it literally stopped her in her tracks.
Might be something fun to throw a wrench in whatever works you want to screw upo. -

Since he wasn't willing to answer, I did it for him and explained that he was NOT one of the "leaders" that the scripture refers to. Just sayin'. The school janitor is trying to carve out more and more control over you every day, and it's time to point out his errors.

Pretty nice cat but mine is nicer. Would you believe that I found her begging scraps at a KH while hundreds of Dubs ate the physical banquet provided to them so that they could toil in the hurricane relief project?
Would you believe that NOT ONE of those sorry losers even freed up a crumb for a starving kitten?
My cat loves me unconditionally and we forgive each other our past associations. -

Comments You Will Not Hear at the 8-26-07 WT Study (SIN-HOLY SPIRIT)
by WT Comments in"every sort of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men," said jesus christ, "but the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven.
" (1 john 5:16) but is it left to the one who has sinned seriously to determine whether he has committed "a sin that does incur death"?.
(psalm 51:11) however, if we are deeply grieved over a sin we have committed, it is very likely that we are truly repentant.

>>I was at a JW wedding where the speaker actually said "Worship together to stay together, that means meetings and service."<<
At my wife's cousin's JW wedding, the speaker, the GF of the groom and a 3rd gen Dub which makes the groom a 5th genner, reminded the happy couple that your "mate is less important than following the Faithful and discrete slave and building your ministry"
I think the guy is still repeating the stuff he heard as a child even though there have been numerous "corrections"
Later at the reception (in his son's bayfront mansion) we were looking at his very extensive JW library. Since his son is a PO he has been able to "liberate" the collections of the older Dubs. Very curious to hear this guy who marches in lock-step with the Corp. say things like "No we don't use that one anymore, too many mistakes"
HTF can they claim they are "spirit-directed" when the most spiritual amongst them admits that the books are pure garbage? It's insanity. -

"we're not hiding anything" says the Bro on the Service Desk
by MinisterAmos ini think i found where they put all their lawyers, they go on the service desk to spin tales of deceit and half-truth.
so i call up to voice my displeasure with having been asked to distribute "the end of false religion" when the wt already knew that it was ridden with molestors yet called itself "clean".
the bro said "that means clean in comparison to the others" ummm ok
