i came across the above book while i was browsing in a bookstore.
since i was on my lunch hour, i could not read it fully, but did quickly look over the information.
it spent a great deal of time discussing matters pertaining to russell.
After I left, I looked for books like this too.
Try http://www.amazon.com or http://www.borders.com and do a search under Jehovah's Witnesses. A bunch of books come up.

a friend told me about this board some months ago, i've been lurking here ever since and really enjoyed it.

about me: baptized in the 80s, pioneer, ms, the usual stuff...inactive for 3+ yrs now.
Welcome! I've been inactive for 10 years now. Same boat as you - baptized in 80's, pioneer etc. I also still have family in. I often cut and paste the researched posts here to a file I'm keeping. I keep hoping that I'll be able to share some of the info with my family.

today, while in a hardware store, i saw a guy that i know was a pedophile when i was a kid.
he was in a check out stand next to mine when i saw him.
i recognized him immediately, even after 30 years.

My parents proudly displayed the wooden spoons with holes in them (to hurt more).
When my brother broke one (he pulled his foot up and it snapped) they moved on to a section of rubber hose.
