  How do JW know they have the Truth?

  NWT 2 Corinthians 5:20

  in 2 corinthians 5:20 the nwt says, "we are therefore ambassadors substituting for christ, as though god were making entreaty through us.

  as substitutes for christ we beg: "become reconciled to god.".

  i could not locate any other bible translations that have the word "substituting" in the text.

  The NWT of the bible is loaded with changes that fit their teachings.. They will have to answer to Christ for this..

  It's the old "if I say it enough times it must be true" mentality. We have the "truth" so shouted my aunt into a conversation that did not pertain to her. I later asked her this simple question. If Jesus Christ was sent here by God and is our King in the heavens why would anyone disobey what He has put into place through His son?

  She answered that the Witnesses obey God. So I asked @ what point did Jesus tell us to identify ourselves by anything other then simply a Christian? She answered "we must be identified separate from all other religions.

  I asked, "why, does Jesus not have the ability to know who we are or read our hearts?" If by divine inspiration the first century people who believed in and followed the teachings of Jesus Christ but who had not witnessed first hand the Christ or his works, they would be identified as Christians. Nothing more. To resort back to the Old Testament and take the name Jehovah’s Witnesses is working in direct opposition to what God has put into place through His son.

  So the answer is obvious..

  3rd. My mothers father was of the so called anointed. My fathers family was trapped in the cult/sect/occult together about the same time.. He was blabtized in 1941.

  if the nwt was produced by people who can't read and write the translated languages - can it really be a translation ?

  or, is it a transliteration - have they used other bibles (of english) to produce the work - altering the words as they go ?

  15 But it is not with the gift as it was with the trespass. For if by one man’s trespass many died, the undeserved kindness of God and his free gift with the undeserved kindness by the one man Jesus Christ abounded much more to many. 16 Also, it is not with the free gift as it was with the way things worked through the one [man] that sinned. For the judgment resulted from one trespass in condemnation, but the gift resulted from many trespasses in a declaration of righteousness. 17 For if by the trespass of the one [man] death ruled as king through that one, much more will those who receive the abundance of the undeserved kindness and of the free gift of righteousness rule as kings in life through the one [person], Jesus Christ.

  They changed the meaning of this with the word many. All are dying because of Adam not many. Other bibles get this correct the WTBTS changed the meaning.

  Taking the Veil off Jehovah's Witnesses

  i would like to start a discussion topic (probably has already been one) on who or how to approach friends and others that are jehovah's witnesses and possible arguments that well get them to examine their belief system.. i have tried without much success, but even though i previously thought these people were "thinking christians" i found that not to be the case.. .

  here would be an example: "i try to approach jw's with an unbelieving mate that is having marital problems.".

  in all my years at the wt, i was kind of proud that people would call me a "good speaker", or a "fine teacher".

  I am working on my cousin right now. I am using the old teachings of the WTBTS & trying to get him to realize that God & Jesus had nothing to do with the starting of this organization but rather it was a crafty act of the devil..

  Would Jesus pick up where satan left off? I think not.

  the apostle paul told the christians in the ancient city of philippi: "this is what i continue praying, that your love may abound yet more and more with accurate knowledge and full discernment.

  philippians 1:9

  similarly, accurate knowledge is needed for you to be motivated to believe in god.

  Did you ever go through other people's trash to find something interesting?

  often i notice people around here, driving slowly in front of each garbage can, on trash day, and some stop to pick up things that they think they can sell and make money with or for themselves.. have you ever done this or witnessed it?

  I have found a lot of nice items in the trash. Made good money $1000.00 a week from the trash..

  One day this older lady was dragging a sledgehammer to the trash I stopped and asked if she needed a hand, she gave me the hammer and an axe. The were both old craftsman tools I took them back to Sears and they gave me new ones..

  omg...did you guys catch this dateline exclusive report?.

  it was a true eye opener on how these men prey on kids and teens...i wanted to reach out and yank them out of the tv.

  i loved how they got caught red handed!!!
