many of us here have commented on the deceitful friday afternoon video shown at the 2017 rc that discussed 1975.. the video attempted to shift the blame onto congregation members for the fiasco saying, "some were looking to a certain date as signifying the end of this old system of things.".
this same video mentions how, “a few even went so far as selling their homes and quitting their jobs.”.
we all know that the wt leadership created this teaching and endorsed it right up to its abject failure.. now below is the concluding talk given on sunday at the rc.

Nope, not new light. For years they have cited Matt. 10:23, the last part, "you will by no means complete the circuit of the cities of Israel until the Son of man arrives," with the application that not all will hear the preaching work. So it's really nothing new. The Matt. passage is, of course, pretty cryptic.

the demise of printing literature in the u.k. is being brought forward by one year - to march 2018. graphic design and printing support will go too.
large numbers of "disposable" bethelites will now have to make their own way in the world, when their "mother" abandons them.
Thanks, SBF, for your insightful input. One point on the ending of your first large post: Bethels are for more than just a GB HQ. They house an increasing number of administrative activities like schools, service departments, and legal offices. I'm not sure if this is what you mean by "exercise authority."

Doesn't it seem to be the point with the Patterson and Warwick moves that the GB wants all Bethel staff AWAY from good locations with their subway networks and nearby congregations? Isn't the German branch out in the boonies somewhere? The trend is clear...

Libby asks an interesting question. Does anybody know what moderately missionary Protestant religions like Baptists and Adventists did at the time before the Mexican law changed? What about the LDS-Mormons? Did they do what the WTS did? If they did, which group or groups came first in this policy?

Thanks, darkspilver for the link. Something I'd like to know is why the GB did the sudden change. Did the Mexican government change their policy? Did Ray Franz's exposé play any role?
