did they send you an informative reply?.

After I left, I sent a letter to Don Adams. He married a pioneer from my old congregation and I attended their engagement party (late 60s I think) I'm not sure why I wrote...I was just so horrified by what I had found out about the organization...I guess I wanted to make him realize the extent of the damage the organization has done. Made me feel good to write it...but it was for naught. No reply.

*Parking in Boston! I had to park on Newbury St. $7.00 for half an hour. It took me 1 hour to drive into the city...and 1 1/2 hours to leave due to traffic (and yes there was a slowdown because someone was changing a tire on the Southeast Expressway) and all of the construction!!! Tried an alternate route on the way out and it was even worse because of all the construction.
I'm home now...supposed to be doing paperwork...and I will after my coffee break.

traffic jams that turn out to be rubber neckers slowing down to gawk at a motorist changing a tire...
drivers who do not know how to merge.
detours that send you into unfamiliar areas...and someone forgot to put up signs to show the rest of the alternate route.
looking for a parking space in downtown Boston...and the one way streets that are set out with no rhyme or reason....that send you further and further from your destination.

The only stress in my life is traffic related. Can you tell? Ok, I'm through ranting... but I have to drive into Boston today, and will encounter everything I just listed.

my wife and i just got home from the gym and there were 2 jw's at our door.
i couldn't help myself....i felt rage building up inside but i tried to play it cool.
just coming off the ne apostafest and hearing everyones story just pissed me off when i saw those two dubs standing there.

this is a question i've been puzzled by ever since my days in the borg.
everywhere i looked i saw tradesmen, cleaner, auto-mechanics here and there some computer technician.
and i do know there are two doctors, one gp and one specialist in the field of drug rehabilitation.. i've heard stories of some being true scholars though.
My Dad. an elder, was an architect and and electrical and nuclear design engineer. He worked for Stone & Webster, one of the largest engineering firms in the world for 38 years. He was asked to work on the Manhattan Project, and turned it down because he was a JW. He was raised in the organization, but didn't agree with their disdain for education. He butted heads regularly with jws on that subject.

I had a copy back in the mid 90s. I contacted them with additional info about the organization. They wrote back and said that they were not interested in talking to "apostates". They consider themselves to be the "Two Witnesses" of Revelation. The Report reads like a watchtower...they criticize things like the money spent on building Patterson. They believe that witnesses have the truth, but have been led astay by a corupt leadership....and they are setting out to fix the problem.
I don't have my copy any longer...I don't remember what I did with it.

i got this story by email this morning and it triggered a memory..so i looked it up and lo..i found it in the awake..22 november 1970. seems like its an urban legend adapted to every country..(bit like the flood then..sic).
still funny though.
