But according to 2 Tim: 3:16 "All scripture is inspired".
If there are problems with the Bible then it's not inspired.
Simple.
the ancient hebrews, and their yahweh included i suppose (can i say that here?
or do you'll prefer jehovah?
), didn't even know of the earth.
But according to 2 Tim: 3:16 "All scripture is inspired".
If there are problems with the Bible then it's not inspired.

ok so... how to condense all the flip-flops and doctrinal changes, and show graphically how the different doctrines changed, and when?.
ttatt in a can!!.
enjoy ;).
Well done, some great work here.
Noticed a few mistakes - is there time to make changes?
Generations:
Wasn't sure what was meant by the 36.5/100/120 years doctrine and some of the change dates are wrong. It's all summed up nicely in the below. You've got No Doctrine from 1916 - 1950. The 1897 one would have continued until 1927? Also you have it as undefined in 2000 - why do you think that? It was the '95 doctrine until it changed in '08.

Sodom and Gomorrah flip flops:
I think there were more than you've listed. JWFacts have a good list here:

Well done though!
over the years, i have posted all of the chapters from my atheist's book of bible stories on this site.. however, since the original posting, many of the chapters have been polished and updated.. the complete book is now available for downloading, if anyone is interested: http://www.sendspace.com/file/qwpjol.

Well worth a download to your tablet.
miss k and her friend miss w arrived promptly today.
our scheduled topic of discussion: jesus' claim to be "the way, the truth and the life..." john 14:6 since she was basing this topic choice on the fact that i had quoted that verse, i'm not sure why... she spent what seemed like a very long time, hopping through scriptures that all said that jesus was the truth, the way, or the life.
ok, so we agreed... i kept waiting for her to get to a point, or sway from this principle.. of course, she summed up with scriptures that show how jesus submits to the father, and what does that mean we should do?
The whole time, she kept repeating how we get to the FATHER through JESUS... no one can get to JEHOVAH without JESUS.
Excellent.
Your follow up can be...how do get to the father?
The messed up JW doctrine of Jesus's mediatorship would an interesting follow up.
or atleast tweaking it again... apparently there has been rumors of this coming out of bethel.
.
My guess is that post 2017 (once Walkill is finished) they will simply drop it. Just no longer mention it. If they have no doctrine to replace it with then just dropping it will be the easiest option.
Maybe saying, let's wait and see. Like they did with the King of the North. Indefinetly park it.
shower room.
office.
games room.
Don't see a big problem with that purchase.
The problem is simple. They just don't need it.
They have extensive office space in Mill Hill. More than enough for a translation commitee. If, for some reason, they needed to rent office space for the duration of the project in Wales then that would have much less of a cost attached to it than buying a luxury house.
To keep reminding the JW's to donate, donate, donate whilst purchasing a property like this is simply insensitive. Why oh why are such groups given tax free status when they can buy like this is unbelievable.
As pointed out above, Christ spoke of having nothing. This purchase again highlights how laughable their claims of being true Christians are.

Ha.
Why can't the translators sit in an office in Mill Hill and do it there?
Very interesting, and even more so that leaks like this are getting more and more common...
does anybody know when the wts started having a governing body???
what year??
?.
GB came into existence in 1971.
Powers handed over from the President in 1976.
It's interesting to think how this arrangement undermines last years claim, that the FDS (aka the GB) has been in existence since 1919...
spark of life: metabolism appears in lab without cells19:42 25 april 2014 by linda geddesfor similar stories, visit the evolution and human evolution topic guidesmetabolic processes that underpin life on earth have arisen spontaneously outside of cells.
the serendipitous finding that metabolism the cascade of reactions in all cells that provides them with the raw materials they need to survive can happen in such simple conditions provides fresh insights into how the first life formed.
it also suggests that the complex processes needed for life may have surprisingly humble origins.. "people have said that these pathways look so complex they couldn't form by environmental chemistry alone," says markus ralser at the university of cambridge who supervised the research.. but his findings suggest that many of these reactions could have occurred spontaneously in earth's early oceans, catalysed by metal ions rather than the enzymes that drive them in cells today.. the origin of metabolism is a major gap in our understanding of theemergence of life.
Wowsers - pretty important step forward.
Thanks for that, good find.

How does revelation refer to an earthly courtyard of a spiritual temple? This article seems to be stretching.
Good point GoUnion.
But this is a key problem with the Great Crowd doctine. Naos (the temple sanctuary) which Rev 7 says the Great Crowd are 'in' had NO courtyards inside it. All the temple courtyards came under a different greek word - heiron.
The Great Crowd of Rev 7 are therefore most certainly in heaven, so like a house of cards everything in this WT collapses around this problem.
Idiots.
