Focus your anger, hon. Control it, aim it, use it wisely.
you should be ashamed
to call yourselves christian!!

i am pained by the lack of faith by people on the board recently both in god and in general.. it is obvious that unbelievers in god would have such lack of faith.
but it is not confined to them alone but to others that though believers in god have little trust and confidence in him.. these of little faith constantly cry for proof and evidence both of god existence or in the case of bill bowens letter to the wts proof of govering body members guilt as child molesters.
they haven't the ability to believe or have faith without physical evidence.. one of my main mentors is tv minister fred price which i watch every sunday morning.
I respect Andi and Neil as two of the most sincere and mature Christians I've known in my life, Valis. They accept us as we are, without being judgmental and without trying to force their beliefs on us. Andi has told me before that she believes I'm right where I'm supposed to be in my spiritual journey. Hey, man, now THAT is a faith I can respect!
The preacher-guy was cool, too. Rather than act judgmental about your girlfriend's visible tattoos, or ignore them, he confided that he also has considered getting one, and struck up a friendly conversation about it. I was impressed.

No we don't. We accept things the way they are, and go on living normal lives. You guys are the ones always harping on this.
They haven't the ability to believe or have faith without physical evidence.
You say this as though it were bad, or unusual. But when the car won't start, how long do you sit there turning the key, "having faith without physical evidence", before you accept the reality and take matters into your own hands? It's no different with God. Give it a chance, try and see, hang in a little bit in an effort to be thorough, and when nothing happens, you accept that this is how it is.
Of course, it's necessary for you to look down condescendingly on anyone who doesn't see things the way you do; that's the nature of you folks. Believe without evidence, and condemn anything that threatens your unsubstantiated beliefs.
Sheet... too short...

i would say that i get up each morning in a pretty good mood.
i get ready for work, drive there and then go about my business.
because people want to give you the anger to make them feel like others are having a bad day too, when you bounce it away.
Hi, kenpo,
I know sometimes as a friend you do need to be someone who listens to venting. I just wonder, what benefit comes from accepting that anger and running with them on it.
You seem to be saying that listening to their venting is the same as accepting their anger. It isn't. It is the listener's choice whether to get angry or not. It's quite possible to listen, allow them to blow off steam, and then respond according to what's needed without becoming angry yourself, and without validating their anger.
Frankly, if I were blowing off steam to someone after a series of frustrating events, and they changed the subject on me with no acknowledgement of what I'd said, I would consider it rudeness of such a degree that a person capable of behaving in such a way could not be considered a friend. Any relationship on any level, whether friend, speaking acquaintance, or merely professional contact, would take a heavy blow as a result, with me making a mental note never to open up to you again about anything on my mind.
i expect no other grandparents to admit to this but here is a photo of little maddie from monday when she was giving grandpa some lip.
i put her in a chair across from me when i'm watching her and she loves to chatter away.
maddie is 7 months old now.. .
Cool! Thanks for sharing, grampa. I can't get my kids to reproduce to save my life (or rather, to carry on the family line).
it's semi-official, my wife is serious about leaving the witnesses.
things are moving so fast and i had to repost the following.
it fell to page six over night and i was hoping someone had ideas on how she can get out of her study without probs.. repost from last night:.
and possibly start going to the first Nazarene church.
From the skillet to the fire, eh? Why not just be free of the whole thing?
the apostates here have so many wrong assumptions.
anyone that posts against them they assume is defending the society.. i'm neutral towards the society.
i don't defend it nor do i attack it.
Does mommy know you're in here messing with her computer again?
one of those subjects we all study at some point in school, is the holocaust.
i remember thinking before i learned about it, that i knew all the horrors of this event already.
after all, it had been mentioned on many programs.
Great post, Ken.
