  I fear I may have lost you by comparing your homophobia to racism. I was making a (say the next word slowly emphasising each syllable) ...comparison... not suggesting that homosexuality is a race. I will not explain it any further as I am sure most people understood the ....comparison....

  There you go AlphaMan, you should stand up with your Christian brother and announce your homophoia to the world. It is something you should be proud of... to paraphrase Perry's wonderful post... "God hates Fags". How much clearer can you get?

  Clearly Perry is a wonderful Christian person, you see despite God hating the gays... Perry is fully of "compassion" for them, how wonderful that such a pure soul as Perry is here in the world to convey such a message. But wait, we should not 'coddle' the gays... oh no... let's not forget that... no they deserve to DIE! That's right, God hates gays so much he kills them dead.

  I presume Perry that you also are against divorced couples remarrying?

  What about stoning adulterers? What about women that get wed and are not virgins, should they be killed? What about a betrothed woman who does not cry out while being raped, we probably should kill them too?

  What a wonderful message of compassion the bible gives the world, and thank you lord for sending such wonderful people as Perry and AlphaMan to carry your message home... Amen.

  Alphaman, yes clearly I do not understand sarcasm.

  Nothing I have said equates to racism. I simply take the position that people should have the right not be marry black couples if they have a religious belief against it. You obviously have a problem with freedom of religion.

  If it's a licensed wedding business, then they should welcome and marry everyone. If it's a private denomination they should have the freedom to marry whoever they want.

  Black couples causing a Christian Pastor to be jailed for politely declining to marry a black couple is ramroding their beliefs down his throat. Some Christian Pastors probably do think marrying a black couple affects their eternal salvation. That's probably why they refuse to want to do it.

  Good grief....quit trying to make people do something they don't want to do, and simply move onto finding a minister that has no problem with it. Freedom is that simple.

  Yeah, freedom is that simple, everyone is free to discriminate against who ever they want... I get it now.

  You are not homophobic just like whoever wrote that quote above is not a racist. We could try the quote with 'jews and jewish' and somehow not be a antisemite? etc... etc...

  My fictional couple "asking to be married", were just that. I believe churches can be exempted from marrying gay couples.

  I do not agree with this... clearly... I believe that any licenses should be revoked or the state witness should not attend any venue that refuses to marry gay people.

  In situations like these, homophobics are given a free reign to pour out their bigoted views, often without being called out for them - they cloak themselves in the flag calling on Freedoms and Free Speech, all the while trampling them into the ground.

  AlphaMan, just to be clear we are not pals. If you do not want to follow the law and keep in step with the prevailing morality of the time, do not get a licence to marry people - simple.

  It will be difficult to stop 'singling you out', you see homophobia is not really acceptable behaviour.

  You seem to be suggesting that a 'gay couple asking to be married' at a licenced venue equates trying to " ramrod their beliefs down people's throats"? If two Christian gay people want to marry in a church is that so wrong?

  It is great to see when you noticed this discrimination against gay people your first thoughts were 'oh my god, they are singling out Christian pastors'... yeah that's the real injustice here. How dare they single out Christians in this great country, this great Christian country... everyone knows the Muslims hate gays too.

  Let's be clear here, are you suggesting that a loving god would 'compromise' a pastors 'eternal salvation' by allowing a gay couple to be married?

  Freedom of Religion should not allow homophobics to trample on the rights and discriminate against others.

  science observes, studies and analyses the basic nature of all the components constituting the part of any experiment, follows the principle of cause and effect, and come out with equipments that would contribute to our comfort and save us lots of time and energyall of which are ultimately aimed at making life on this earth happier, longer and healthier, thus making this world a better place to live.. yet man day-by-day becomes more and more unhappy and discontented, and world is becoming bitter and bitter!

  Would it not be better to concentrate on the modern evolutionary synthesis?

  Why is the above statement so shocking? Skeptical enquiry should be encouraged in science. Certainly evidence should always be carefully examined. Evidence that contradicts the evolutionary thoery should certainly be looked at... it is of course a falsifiable theory.

  Obviously the theory will need to be adjusted to encompass new evidence as and when it comes along. Perhaps though, you are suggesting, evidence could be presented to bring the entire body of knowledge to be proven incorrect? If so, what is this evidence?

  Perry, is there a "language" in all chemical reactions and or molecules? As you seem to judge people on their ability to identify 'codes' correctly and be somewhat of an expert in identifying a code when you see one, do you think that the structure of Tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium(0) is a 'code' in the sense of Information Theory? Or perhaps you think that in this case it is just a chemical compound?

  At what point do you start saying a chemical compound or polymer is 'coded with a language'? When it seems complicated? When it acts a catalyst in chemical reactions? When it is 'perfect' according to some picture you hold?

  Do you really not understand why we refer to DNA as a code, whilst not actually believing it is a true code in the language sense?

  I expect the Borg are creating a fund for future abuse settlements and will be selling as much of their new found real estate as soon as possible.

  The Catholic church according to the Jay Report says "there were approximately 10,667 reported victims (younger than 18 years) of clergy sexual abuse between 1950 and 2002". Now I am sure that figure is too low for many reasons.. but if the WTBS has one percent this number of possible claims for damages I am sure they will be preparing a slush fund ready for any future claims.

  Whilst preaching the end is near, the WTBS has it seems always had a good long term view for financial management. This requirement for liquid funds may well have been a driver behind their latest money grab. What do you think?
