Real Prophecy vs. Watchtower Prophecies
by Perry inwhile we had our eyes fixated on our "one-time" idol the watchtower and their false prophecies like the generation of 1914 that wouldn't pass away, 1975 etc.
; a number of real prophecies were unfolding.
we just weren't taught to look for them.

How does your interpretation of the passage in Isaiah differ from the Jewish interpretation? How could somebody decide which is correct? -

"508 Million Year Old" Exceptionally Preserved Embryos Found
by Perry inactually, they we found over 100 years ago.
but because so many dinosaur bones have yielded soft tissue, blood cells, dna fragments etc.
, many have predicted (including myself) when all this really broke loose in 2005, that many more similar discoveries would be made simply by going back and cracking open old fossils and having a look inside.

@Perry
“New, exceptionally preserved specimens of the weakly sclerotized arthropod Waptia fieldensis from the middle Cambrian (ca. 508 million years ago) Burgess Shale, Canada, provide the oldest example of in situ eggs with preserved embryos in the fossil record,” the researchers wrote in a report published earlier this month in the journal “Current Biology.”
Great post again Perry. I found the article very interesting. Yet more evidence in support of evolution, basically science is charting the steady transition from less involved parenting styles to brooding behaviours in arthropods.
This new study looks at some fossilized eggs found in Waptia fieldensis, a smaller clutch size and larger eggs suggests a higher investment in brood care; this is then compared to other arthropods in the Cambrian which demonstrates the development in behaviour and the possible requirement for evolutionary development of the carapace.
I am not sure as to your point in the OP? Are you attempting to suggest that the study as uncovered 'viable' embryos? Are you attempting to suggest that the fossilization of small delicate objects such as 'eggs' is impossible?
It seems to me you have missed the point of the article altogether. Have you disregarded the science in the paper entirely?

It was interesting to note the gun was on the floor of the truck. If that truck was stolen... that's another gun in the hands of the criminals you bought the gun to protect yourself against. -

What's a word that describes the way Witnesses behave as a group?
by paul from cleveland ini can't recall the word that describes a group that keeps to itself like the witnesses do.
i thought it was "insular" but i don't think that's the one i'm looking for after reading the definition.
i remember an elder using the word "clannish" and that has the proper definition but it reminds me of a group of elves.

Evolution a Fact - Agreed but So What?
by LAWHFol inin many debates between believers and non believers (nb), the nb uses evolution as some sort of proof to support the non existence of god.. i agree that evolution is a fact, however i feel that evolution is proof of some sort of benevolent original cause.. if i were to create an a.i.
, i would program into it the ability to self-refactor and evolve.. i would also randomly inject viruses into the program (evil) where the a.i.
would be forced to stretch its current capabilities & modify it's operating functions in order to get through the random virus, and continue living.. with a steady flow of different viruses, the a.i.

Basic Principles for Forum Moderation
by Simon ina perennial issue for any online forum is moderation and applying rules.
we have a set of community guidelines and posting guidelines that are intended to make clear what is and isn't acceptable but this tends to focus on the obvious standards of behavior for, well, obvious reasons.
it's easy to talk about people being aggressive or insulting etc... as those are common and clearly unwanted behaviors and the typical issue for online communities - the most likely things to come up.. does this mean that everything *not* on the list is allowed?
