  What other cutbacks for WTS can you suggest?

  the awake magazines are down to once a month.

  the new releases are now down to one book.. there are several "special campaigns" of offering leaflets- invitations to the memorial or dc and kingdom news.. here are some of the additional possible cost-saving measures.

  A coup against the Watchtower?

  i believe that if enough "anointed" get fed up with the hypocrisy of the leadership, a coup may be likely if not inevitable.. .

  what i've been wondering is: how would such a scenario play out in real life?

  i'm sure we can agree that all the organizational power ultimately rests in the hands of the eleven little men in brooklyn known collectively as the governing body.

  just got off the phone with my best jw friend.

  we were talking about the current congo politics, blah blah blah.

  she said she is sure i know about and discussed the current km article on the society not endorsing any outside literature.

  Truth will come to those who seek it.
  
  I agree with the phrase that some want their ears tickled. I want the truth! Whether I choose to follow it or not, is a separate issue. But I want the whole unadulterated truth. No hidden scandals, inserted names, lying elders, coverups, and other guano.

  yes, as far as jehovahs witnesses are concerned, apostates are evil, wicked, faithless liars.. i was wanting to ask - assuming most if not all who come here are in the jw category of apostate, how do you feel about the fact that you are portrayed in such a light by the org?.

  i will be the first to admit - i always thought that those who criticized the org were untruthful or exaggerating.

  its not until now i have considered what you guys have to say and how you feel that i realize that what you have to say is all truthful (tinged with a bit of anger perhaps).. personally i think its verging on character assassination.

  I am in an even more mysterious class:
  
  Since people know what type of person I am, and how faithful and studious and loving blah blah blah I was while in the organization, they are actually terrified of what I know, or have to say. They can't put me into the crazy apostate bag very easily, especially my former friends (both disfellowshipped, one justifiably so, and one who was completely railroaded), and they realize I must have uncovered something true, because this Scorpio ain't down with foolishness.
  
  This is one of the reasons why I choose not to read CoC. I am sure all your rave reviews are justified, but I want to be able to say to them that my decision is mainly based off of documents signed by the Governing Body, or the Society's lawyers, and the Society's publications.

  I did my first "bad" thing...question about voter registration

  i was at work yesterday and was asked if i wanted to put $5 down on a square the guys had going on for nascar.

  i had been asked before, and always said "no thanks," but this time, i had some cash on me (which is a rare thing), so i decided i might as well try it.

  so there you have it, i gambled.

  Actually, they ask why you want to fade from their party. They send two of the older men to your house to talk to you about reconsidering.

  Depends on your area.
  
  A funny thing happened here. They (Democratic leadership in the county and city) didn't want to let registered Republicans and Indies vote in the Mayoral Democratic Primary. They knew it would be close for the incumbent. I don't know how legal that was.
  
  It was decided by 1,000 votes in a city of 220,000. Close!

  I am officially divorced

  yesterday was the day - that my marriage of over 10 1/2 years to my jw wife was dissolved....finally.... - i am in a terrific mood today!

  my wife and i have joint physical and legal custody of the kids which is awesome!

  she doesn't make them go to meetings or go out in service and she has to allow all extra carricular activities.
