  Everyone seems to be missing the point here. What I am after is a pre-2001 scan, or other proof, of the documents that would have accompanied the annual accreditation form in the 'package' Auldsoul talks about. Again: pre-2001! None of the links that you're all giving me have that. All I'm seeing are 2005 and 2006 docs. The latest versions are useless to establish something pre-2001. The UN tightened up it's annual NGO processes after the WTS debacle. Do you see what I'm getting at?

  I'm not looking for a reason to say the WTS is innocent, because they blatantly are guilty on this. All I'm after is proof that they were absolutely required to submit an annual report along with the accreditation form each year pre 2001. Docs after that date don't prove anything re before that date.

  I'm glad you guys aren't on my legal team.

  jw's are in a cult just so the watchtower can make some money, they dont care about anyone or let them do anything, all they want is money whomever is still in this religon that is considered a sheep will in fact get killed when this so called armageddon will happen which it hasn't since the first time they predicted in the year 1914, but i got a prediction the downfall of your so called religon will happen in the next 10 to 15 years

  I went to the UN's NGO website and read carefully through the entire accreditation form. The 2006 pdf version doesn't have any of the text you've quoted Auldsoul. Can you provide me with a link? Am I blind? Where are you getting your information?

  We also need to find a complete copy of a pre 2001 accreditation form to compare with the latest version because as we know from 2002 the DPI got a lot more stringent about NGO's, therefore they could have tightened up on the wording since then.

  On the following link is a copy of a 1999 blank accreditation form but it doesn't have any of the wording you have pasted Auldsoul. Throw me a bone here?

  hey, i`m discussing something with a jw-dork on another forum.

  he`s a complete idiot, he won`t believe that the wts made that ngo-deal with the un, until he sees the actual contract that the wts signed.

  does anyone know if a copy of this contract has leaked out?

  Lloyd Barry and Ciro Aulicino were evidently the PR and MR on the original application.

  There is a scanned blank 1991 version application available over on Randy Watters site. This is exactly the version the Society would have filled out. Get him to read the whole thing thoroughly, especially the heading (which refers to an annual report) and question 15, and ask him if he honestly sees nothing there that conflicts with JW's stated beliefs re the UN.

  Get him to go to the DPI website and read the DPI's 2004 re the Watchtower (PDF) letter for himself. That is the most damning piece of evidence.

  Dear Auldsoul. I read through that whole link you provided to the DPI website, and it says nothing about DPI NGO's providing an annual report. Presumably the WTS was an 'associated NGO' with the DPI, right? The website says the following (inter alia):

  "What are the responsibilities of NGOs associated with DPI?"

  Associated NGOs are expected to devote a portion of their information programmes to promoting knowledge of the principles and activities of the UN. In addition, an evaluation and review process was in place in 2002 wherein NGOs associated with DPI are expected to keep the DPI/NGO Section abreast of their activities by providing a short summary of their UN-related activities and samples of their information materials every four years relating to the work of the UN. The information materials are also made available for perusal at the DPI/NGO Resource Centre.

  Are you positive an annual report was ever required? The 1991 application form makes reference to an 'annual report' but other than that I can only see hard evidence that the WTS had to file an annual 'accreditation form'. Where are you getting your information from on the annual report?

  Am I getting mixed up on this with the type of NGO the WTS was?

  do you guys think we are sufficiantly along in the month of october to be able to say that the end isnt coming in the fall of '05?.

  when i was a dub i really thought the end was coming this month.. 1975+30= 2005. if adam was 30 when eve was created this would be the end of the 5000 years of since jahs last rest.. eve created, jah rest for 1000 years (1k years is as one day to jovah) he picks up work again 1000 years after eve is created.

  now in 2005 that means he has just 1 more "day" until the next great 1k years sabbath.

  According to the UN's website, General category NGO's only file reports quadrennially (every 4 years)? Can anyone confirm whether the Society was in fact required to file annual reports or not? I can't find anything conclusive to support Auldsoul's claim the comittee reviews each "Associated/Affiliated NGO annually to determine whether their involvement merited continuation of the arrangement."

  It's just more Watchtower double-speak and contradiction's. Nothing wrong with God killing the 'incorrigibly wicked'.... I wish he would come and do that now!! But 'incorrigibily wicked' persons are obviously only a tiny fraction of this planets population,. Yet what have they said in the past about who will survive Armageddon?:

  I'm having trouble finding anything solid about the 'Annual Accreditation form' and an 'annual report'. Can someone help clarify for me the following questions:

  • How long has the 'Annual Accreditation Form' actually been around? The wording on the 2005 form could be taken to suggest that it was only first created in 2002, ie, after the WTS disassociated itself.
  • What hard evidence do we have that the Society actually submitted an 'annual report' to the DPI from 1992 onwards? The 1991 application form certainly refers to an 'annual report', so from that is it inferred that the Society sent regular reports and samples each year from when it first became an NGO? How do we know the Society actually did send annual reports during those 10 years? No one can deny they have published a lot of UN-related information in various Awake articles for many years, and one is even posted on the UN's website, but other than this circumstantial evidence is there anything we have that solidly shows they must have actually submitted samples annually to the UN? A copy of an 'Accreditation' form prior to 2002 with similar wording as the current one would certainly prove that. Is one available?

  I am compiling the 'evidence' about all this to show some family and friends and I want to be ready to overcome all their objections. I am also going to write to the Society about it, with 'exhibits' attached and intend to send copies to some local elders. I fully expect to be hauled before a JC over it, knowing full well I will probably get disfellowshipped. I want to be fully prepared. One of their objections is going to be: "But when you read this 2005 Accreditation Form it is saying that they only started reviewing NGO's and requesting samples from 2002 onwards."

  I'm sorry to be a pest about this. I just want to get as close to having source documentation as much possible without having to spend more hours trawling through 100's of posts.
