  What does "Get a life" mean?

  if someone says "i have a life" because i have kids, husband, etc,etc....does that mean that the other person doesn't have life or does that make their life more meaningful than a person who doesn't have this or that?

  When I'm not working or dealing with my family(I have a husband, children, grandson, a job.), I'm on the computer. I use it to kind of "zone off", get away from the "rat race" so to speak. There's been times that people have told me to "get a life" because of using the computer. So, does using the computer and being in a newsgroup make you not have a life? It helps me to keep my sanity!

  i came a cross this article....never heard of it before although i know now there was a primetime live that did a story about them.

  it's sick to know.

  i read more and it made me more angry.. and there are people here in the us that say racism isn't the way it was....idiots.. http://abcnews.go.com/primetime/story?id=1231684&page=1.

  Show me how these are any celbration of race. I've never even heard race mentioned as a basis for these celebration. There is no "white heritage" month.

  You have to remember that most militant blacks feel that the bible is made by the "White man", and that it's for "White people". Most Whites use to believe this (some still do) so that's why they said that Blacks were a cursed race. So, now, you have all of these holy White days and Blacks believing in them! Embracing them! One love! You know?

  Not that I'd want to, but can you have a White or Caucasion Heritage event without minorities having a temper tantrum?

  Come on they have white heritage day's almost every month. Columbus Day, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Halloween, etc, etc. A lot of black people even celebrate these days! No one pickets on these days.

  hey everyone,.

  as you can see im new here, and like every new person im trying to sort alll this jw stuff out.

  i have no idea where to start, but here goes.. i first started questioning all this when 'a brother' in the congregation sexually abused one of my best friends family members, he did not get disfellowshipped, but he got publicly reproved?!

  I'm not buying it! That people left the Witnesses and became Christians.

  i tried it, could not swallow all the lies and misinformation they had.

  i am sorry, but even if you deny the whole witness faith, there is still parts to christianity that they pointed out that you can not just ignore and act like it is okay to join another faith that is christian.

  are you going to become catholic when your know their history?

  I think that you have to wash out all of that stuff that JW's taught you. They are the ones that taught you that other religions were bad! The nerve! They were the one bringing out all of the reasons why these other religions were bad, and me, I was just taking it all in! Like a dumb ass! They had me thinking that I couldn't do nothing but be a witness. Anything else, you're dead! Now, what the hell! I dunno! Live and learn!

  Does blood freak you out????

  i've had this phobia of blood and needles ever since i was given the anti-blood programming.. anyone else have his phobia as well?.

  i'm wondering if i'm the only person to have this fear.

  It doesn't bother me at all. I'm a nurse. I have to draw blood, and I have to give blood transfusions. It's neat to see a person who's pale and anemic pink right up after receiving blood!

  aren't you glad that you don't have to follow all the silly rules of the organization?

  it is comforting to know that we don't have to feel guilty anymore because we just aren't doing enough.

  Everyday, I realize how bad off I was....how bad my mind had been controlled. Like, yesterday, it was someone's birthday, and I was thinking that I couldn't say "happy birthday". Little stuff like saying "bless you" when someone sneezes, I have to relearn to say. So, many things were taken away from me. I can say "yes, I think that's a nice halloween outfit". At times, It is a little disconcerting. I wonder if I shake my head noticeably when I saying to myself "it's ok".

  The bOrg really had me going! <sheesh> OMG.....OMG! I said OMG!
