Sometimes I just shake my head

i'm almost relieved he didn't come back to read the tongue lashing so many of you posted.. a person comes here and believes all the apostate crap that we used to believe.

Lady Lee what about US? What about the ones who are being attacked by the Witnesses? How can you say you are here for support of people that are being disassociated, disfellowshipped, and shunned; and then give this person a chance to dig his heel into our wounds. Right now, I have a hard time feeling any compassion for any Jehovah's Witness that doesn't have compassion for me. My own child looks at me like I'm a demon. That hurts, and it's people like that poster who help keep the LIE about the religion going.
I'm happy for his brother. I'm happy that his brother found his way out, and I wouldn't want his brother to feel like I've turned my back on him by supporting that poster/his brother.
There's a lof of what ifs? But what about the ones that aren't what ifs? But who are here trying to hang on to the little bit of sanity that they have. I don't need someone to come to the board to chastise me for not being a Witness, and I don't need to be made to feel shame because I disliked what the poster said and responded in kind.
If he wants support to get out of the religion and to be with his brother, I'd gladly give it to him; but what he did was came in here and fanned the fires of many who are hurting. He's experiencing what many of us are going through now because of what his religion teaches. If he wants support, I'm sure that they are many pro-witness boards out there that will help him get through this. If he wants support from this forum, he should be more respectful of it. IMHO
I no longer believe in turning the other cheek, because I've been slapped once too many times. And you know what? They never say that they're sorry.

a family member went apostate and has turned his back on jehovah.
he told us he is never coming back and i know he went and visited internet sites.

You want us to stay out? Wow, that's nice to know. Is that how all of you holy Jehovah's Witnesses feel? And, who are you to tell someone what to do? You have no power over us. Sounds like you have some sort of authoritarian complex. Better get that checked out before you blow a blood vessel. And as many posters here have said, "Welcome to our world.". How does it feel to be rejected because you choose to be a Witness? You think it's okay to shun others because of their beliefs, but you don't think that you should be shunned? How funny!
And you, definitely, can't tell me to abandon my children. I love them and will continue to try to make them see how wrong that your religion is!
By the way you come in here like some big authority, I can see why your family member left. You just had to have your way, and he/she was sick of your bull*&^!

she is still a dubbie but she was recently reprimanded and her family is making her life a living hell.
they are making her literally feel like shit.

talk about ambidextrous - those wheels can go in opposite directions at the same time!.
of course, all that will change in the "new system"tm.

If I get a little nuttier, I'll be pushing one around the streets and sleeping in card board boxes....then the brothers can say I am living without "greediness".
In the new system everyone will own shopping carts and live in card board boxes.

Would you want plastic surgery?
by free2beme init is said that teens are now getting breast implants, tummy tucks and liposuction.
i remember when i was younger, we thought these type of surgeries were done by older woman wanting to stay young looking.
does not seem to be the case anymore and it is getting easier and easier to get done.

Mention of Jehovah's Witnesses in popular entertainment
by enderby ini don't know if this thread has been done before, but can anybody think of times that jehovah's witnesses were made mention of or joked about in music, tv, or movies?
for example,there are a couple of simpsons episodes, one were marge alludes to being so desperate for company that jehovah's witnesses ran away when she went to get them more lemonade.
another time, two jw's approach the simpsons' house and one turns to the other just before ringing the doorbell and asks "ruby, do you ever think we should get real jobs?".

In the movie "Strange Relations" starring Paul Resier there's a comment made about there being Jehovah's Witnessess at the door. I can't remember the exact phrase that the lady used (For those who haven't seen it, I don't want to ruin the plot; but it's not about dubs.).
