  an "Adult's" View.

  here i sit, in my public library, typing away a computer from a hot nasty seat.. but i wouldn't be anywhere else in the world right now.

  (okay, maybe a couple of other places).

  i have to be at work in 40 minutes, and its a 15 minute drive from here, so lets not expect a novel of a post.. yesterday was my birthday, and they did a little cake thing for me and all that which was nice, but otherwise, nothing is new.. my mother seems to be cooling off, but lets just say that the "excrement flinging fan" hasn't been turned off yet.. i'm 18 now, and nothing is different.

  Ya know - you may want to go have a smoke. Doing stuff like that really helped me shed some of the JWism. Just don't get hooked on them.......
  
  go get nasty drunk with a good friend, buy some lottery tickets, go get pierced or tattooed....all that stuff was really awesome for me. It may help blow some steam off. Just my opinion....

  this is the kind of passive aggressive bullying my parents learned from the WTS and used on us kids our whole lives.
  
  "I'm not saying you shouldn't do this or that, but I would be very happy if you chose this route." Then if you went against there choice you were emotionally bullied for weeks.
  
  I still shake my head at these articles. How the heck did I ever believe this stuff???????!!!!!!!

  ok, sorry about this but i'm in tears and just need to absolutely vent..... i am so tired of being invisible, of not existing to people that have said they love me, to people who i've known for years.. i had to find out from the stupid newspaper that a family friend died from her battle w/ breast cancer.. just this week i finally get in contact with someone who had stopped going to the meetings 10 years ago and now that she's back... guess what ... that's right ... i hate this religion.

  yes i am depressed today.

  everything a person has built in a life time is just ripped away.

  i got a call from my wife today.

  she said they made the announcement at the hall yesterday that i got df'd.

  they said that i am no longer a jehovah's witness.

  such a shocker isn't it? It's like shunning. You KNOW you are going to be shunned, yet the first time it happens, you are shocked and amazed and so hurt. I imagine it was still a shock to hear you were DFed. I'm glad you feel free and can close this chapter of your life.

  not sure where he got his CD's from. If the subject comes up again I'll ask him. I've only seen the on Freeminds website and on ebay. They are sold in 30 year increments or something like that.

  My Dad has always been into the Original Greek in the Scriptures. I remember him pouring over the Greek Interlinear (that purple bible) when I was a kid. He's truly an honest hearted individual and he wants to "make sure of all things, hold fast to what is fine!" LOL!

  I didn't ask where he was ordering them from exactly - he still seems hesitant to tell me all the details of his searching. i totally understand that, I was the same way - the paranoia. If it comes up again, I will ask him where he ordered them from. I only have seen them on Freedminds website and on ebay - and both places will put a dent in the pocketbook.
  
  thanks for the comments from everyone else. I am so happy to see my dad do this on his own. He has carried this enormous amount of guilt around his whole life from past "sins" and I feel a large part of the guilt has been because of how he compares himself to the WT measuring stick. Perfection or you are no one. I think the greastest gift would be to see that enormous weight lifted off of his shoulders.

  tattoo is in progress

  the first one is of an infinity symbol, basically the belief that everything will come full circle.

  nice work. I know I would have been over my limit with the size of those ones. Your adrenalin and endorphins peak and fall over the process and then your body starts to shut down.......
  
  I want another tatt but it's quite detailed and large so I need to mentally prepare for it.
