it is a well known fact that most of the work that takes place within the watchtower society contributing to its success, is due to the backbone of the watchtower which can be described as the women in the congregation.

child abuse is not limited to jw's.. if you truly want to stop child abuse first start with the family , and be honest we all have a relative that is a pedophile.. then protect your family from stranger danger.. don't just isolate to jw's.. expand and truly stop the child abuse world wide.

I think you are totally missing the point:
Molestation happens in just about every group. Religious or otherwise. Jehovah's Witnesses, when they learn of it happening in their group do not inform their members because they are afraid it will "taint the good name of the congregation" or "bring reproach on Jehovah". Thus, the molesters are allowed to run rampant in the congregation without anyone (parents of young children) knowing who they are.
The elders, by not informing any vulnerable parents, put a good image above loving and caring for the members of the congregation.
After allegation and allegation about a certain accused molester they will not deal with (disfellowshipping etc) or report to the police even if many different young ones have come forward JUST because there weren't two witnesses to the crime. Do you think there ever would be extra witnesses to a molstation crime?
So the Jehovah's Witnesses are accused by all of us for perpetuating a situation in which child abuse can flourish.

What have you done for yourself lately?
by MsMcDucket inafter reading greendawn's post, it made me realize that i do more for other people than i do for myself.
i put off buying things for myself and gave up doing certain things when my husband became ill... but, the one thing that i did do for myself and family was get all of us a computer.
having a computer gives me time to relax and roam around on the net doing random stuff.

i got myself a big boquet of ranunculus and alstromeria...
hey collegegirl21!! Good for you !- but pleeeeeese you be careful!!!!!! I had a roommate (girl) that had really terrible experiences in the army. they totally tore down her personality and built her back up into this robot. it took her years to become herself again... :( also a bunch of other really BAD things that the "superiors" do to the girls... that stuff STILL goes on in the armed forces even though they say it doesn't... please take care.
