ok, then why do they end the prayers as they do?
the brothers that say that are not annointed.
why do we personally end prayers inthe same way?
is the mediation like ours for loan- like the secretary of a company having a rubber stamp to stamp the signature of the boss (the FDS) cause he gives the secr. permission (if that makes sense)
I believe that the "official" stance you cited its what they "officially believe, but do ANY of the rank and file know this?...
jeez, the "truth" is always so confusing...

old light on mediating...
by lost_sheep inblow the dust off your ancient watchtower tomes & delve into the annals (or should that be anals?
) of the wts's past... i'm trying to find out if they have ever taught that christ is the mediator for all people.
recently finding out (after being raised a witness) that they teach that christ is not the mediator for everyone was disturbing to say the least.

huh?
I though JC was the mediator for everyone- the endings of prayers always end: through your son jc, amen.
What is the "current understanding" on this?

JoJo's Story.......
by kittyeatzjdubs inwell.......i figured it's about time to tell my story...bear with me, it's close to bedtime and i'll probably have to break this up.... .
i was born on may 22, 1985 into a family full of dubs minus the dad...my father never had much to do w/ religion.
after that, it's pretty much blank, except for what was recounted to me by family members..

(((((Jo Jo)))))
It is unbelievable what the religion does to people...
AND it is stories like this that make me afraid to tell my mom what's going on.
JoJo you are such a strong person- I would not have guessed that you had been through something so gutwrenching - you seem so normal!!!!!! (compliment)

"Why Won't God Heal Amputees?"
by scout575 in"according to believers, god is answering millions of their prayers every day.
prayer seems to be especially powerful in the medical arena - god eliminates cancers, kills viruses, reverses the efffects of poisons, heals internal organs, repairs injuries etc.".
the above quote is taken from an ex-christian website.

When and What was your "Spiritual" height?
by Dune inthe highest i ever got was my being considered for a ministerial servant back in fall'ish 2004. .
of course, i also started college that semester, and was given an ultimatum and now i'm here .

My spiritual high WT-style was aux pioneering. big whoop.
But I was with a bunch of my friends doing it and we had a GREAT time doing the rural territory. More often than not it would turn into a hike, or rolling huge boulders down a hill, or driving out to the coast... -

Uninformed-
I am standing up and clapping for that one!!! A brilliant comment to the elders! I love it. -

that is a large realization, IW, a reversal of roles in everyday life: the people who you once thought were the most important people ever are just average joes, no more deserving of a second thought than some random guy on the street. And everyone else? They are just the same as you- your peers.
