  The Best One-liners for Witnesses

  what have been the most effective reasons that you've given to the people that you love for why you're no longer a witness?

  considering that most dubs have the attention span of a 2 year old for anything from an a-prostate, please be consise and succint with your answers.

  just trying to plant some seeds of reasoning.... maybe in-depth discussions with those folks will come at a later time.

  I finally took the time to actually study the Witnesses and found everything they teach to be morally, logically, ethically, biblically, emotionally and spiritually wrong.

  satan threw open a challenge to jehovah (according to jw theology) that he could turn anyone against god and that peeps only served him by what they could get out of it ( living forever on a paradise earth........um) .

  well, since yourve got to be a dedicated witness, everyone else is wrong, wicked, corrupt whatever.

  who could claim victory for this................... 6 million out of satans 6 billion.. so, id say satan is the winner.

  I guess I'd have to agree. But isn't there a part about humankind not being able to rule themselves that was part of the deal? Like YHWH giving them time to try to prove they could rule themselves but we haven't because we still have wars and disease etc.?
  
  Other than that, I'd TOTALLY agree that people would NOT serve god if there were no reward. "Satan" (basically anyone/thing other than the dub's idea of the borg/Jehovah) does not promise anything else other that the pleasure you make for yourself and give to others on this life right here and now. Which is basically the same thing "god" promises, only "god" lies and says that you will get life after death too, because no one in their right mind would follow all those rediculous unhealthy rules of his if they weren't getting something BIG out of the deal.

  yhwh gave the dubs advance knowledge that the house and senate was going to be controlled by the dems- of course virginia has yet to be decided, and only then will they make the announcement at the halls, cause, you know how you can "only know a prophecy's full meaning after it has been fulfilled"... .

  i just read that the "first few months of 2007 will be an exciting time" what with all the investigations into lawlessness on the behalf of the prez and his cronies... .

  since this is really the only big news around... .

  Well, SirNose, just my own 2 cents and nothing I've read here, but all those articles about a) keeping shunning evil apostates, even though theyare your own kids; b)obeying the borg at all costs; and c)accepting "new light" obediently seem to come rather conveniently packaged together. And it seems like there are a lot of them in that particular vein.
  
  It seeeeems like teh sheep are being conditioned for something... then again, maybe it's just my heightened crap-detector going off now that I am out from the spell of the borg. ???

  I agree with one of the first replies- negativity is really bad for us. But often i take to dwelling on how horribly WRONG the dubs are and how hateful they can be to those of us that disagree with them. I need to let go of that.

  maybe i was just an uber-witness loser (i took the religion very seriously when i was in it).. a friend is trying to get me to go triple dating with some of her friends and this chick i'm diggin.

  the setting is this dashboard confessional's concert.. but i've never been to a concert, so i was wondering what the hell are you supposed to do?

  too bad- some folks here did a calculation and said that evin if all dubs placed all their tracts they'd only cover 300 million of the earth's inhabitants (mainly in western lands where people toss them straight in the garbage), thus only reaching a maximum of 4 1/2 % of the earth's population... .

  i think many publishers, inflamed with zeal, get packet after packet of 50 tracts each for "placement in the ministry".

  (eeeee- i love using those buzzwords!
