This is the truest statement, i've heard in many years.

from the poll results it is clear that intimacy, trust, and honesty go together.
each is impacted by the others in dozens of ways.
any can be improved or weakened by action or inaction, each of these principles of relationships require effort to achieve and maintain.

STUNNING! You look gorgeous. What a little cutie your son is.
i have to tell all of you here about the shocking thing that i have witnessed at my place of employment.
let me say that i own a cell phone and i don't have a problem using it.
but there has to be some common sense guidelines about where and when a cell phone should not be used.
So tell me; if it's not affecting you, what's the problem? Just an offense to your personal standard of right or wrong?
Yeap, it does, and yeap it is my problem. Like you I have my phone on me at all times. (On-call alot). I have the phone on Vibrate :).
However, when the phone rings during a wedding or speech and people answer, it really jacks me off. A little respect for the people involved.
I think the most annoying....well outside of those people pooping and chatting......movie cell phone calls.Yeap, hear it just like this in meetings, attending an accident at our minesite, a co-worker answered a personal call, said some very similar stuff as below. This guy was amazing, we are first paras at accident (was nasty too), and he answers his phone. 4 vics and only 2 of us.
dont ask me why, but my family and friends call me "skinner"!
how about you?
i know a few who have several different ones.
The Kid, probably cause i'll never grow up, although it started when i was 10

tetrapod, i haven't forgotten you, and i'm working on a follow-up thread on friendships as well.
Jgnat, these are great.
It's good to get a perspective outside my little box. Thanks to everyone who answers, helps alot
the day of the surgery i cancelled.
i was convinced i was going to croak during the *procedure*.
my oldest sister thought so too.. .
Nate - glad you were both energized and relaxed by it. Even if this all you get from Acupuncture, it's worth it.
Yes, have been helped (nasty accident, surprisingly not horse related) alot by acupuncture and continue to, as does my sister. She had an incredibly bad fall off a horse and prolapsed a couple of discs in her lumbar region and cracked L2. We only see one Doc, originally from China, trained in the US to be a GP, trained in China in alternative medicine and acupuncture. Great marriage between western and eastern medicine.
Hope you get as much pain free time as we have had!

Good luck!
Plus acupuncture. ; (Hey, it's covered by my insurance It can't hurt, it might help)
The problem with acupuncture is? It does help some people alot.
first i hope this has not been posted yet,,,
(not had time to scroll) how is this for kindness?
dear abby: yesterday a young man from a religious sect rang my doorbell and pounded on my door until i opened it.

Gonna put this one up, lol. We have a nightshift sign up, dosen't make alot of difference.
I've gone out in my Chador (headcovering, ex-husband is Muslim), didn't make any difference.
HEY SHITHEAD...
Tried this. Best thing that's worked for me is take one from the fold and move them in and get engaged to them. I get left alone now encase I lead anyone else astray.
i've been wondering what people think about this.
as soon as i turned 18 and had an income (it was disability but income just the same) my parents began to charge me room and board.
is this common practice?
This child had troubles and didn't finish a full semester. ; Tried a few times. ; Eventually I told him to leave for a few reasons. ; ; The last time he returned, I was unwavering. ; $500/mo rent due before the first of the month. ; I told him upfront that he would get back $300 for each month he lived here. ; If he chose to attend college, I also factored in college credits (rebate) and other incentives to help him keep focused on earning a living and living on a budget. ; (I had wanted to do the 'surprise refund' but that just never worked with this kid.) ; I really was tired of the shenanigans when he was 23 and he wasn't showing signs of maturing into a responsible adult. ; When he moved out 6 months later, he got back $1800 and seems to be doing much better than this time last year.
What a brilliant idea!
I had to pay rent from the age of 16yrs. I had a part-time job. Mostly the rent was to pay for my horse. We didn't have to pay so much if we worked on the farm outside our normal chores. When I left school and had 6 months off before travelling, I had to pay what i would consider a proper rent.
i thought it would be fun to find out information that you think we would not know about the area that you live in.
last night on the news i learned that london has been closing its pubs at 11 p.m. and they are about to change that(i didnt know that before)
i live in the south (usa) and heres some things that you might find interesting:
Swalker - Yeap, ride horses.
Steve's not so popular over here. But he does do a hellva lot for the native flora and fauna. Which is fantastic!
I'm not an ozzie(haven't been naturalised yet), never been much of a beer drinker, but it is the THING here.
Fried chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, creamed corn, biscuits/cornbread, dessert, sweetened ice tea. (You have to sweeten the tea while it’s still warm…do not hand a southerner a pkg of Sweet & Low!)
Now that sounds like the southern USA we heard about. Sounds pretty good, coming over for tea. Had Iced Tea for the first time last week. Hmmm okay, think it might be an equired tasted.
I'll buy you that beer,
Tan
