Let the children decide.
by angel eyes inok, im putting my neck on the line here but ive always believed that children should be raised to make their own choice, if to serve jah or not.. i wasnt ever forced to believe in anything, any religion etc, although my background is very complicated.. anyway, hubby and i have always thought that how can a child decide if they dont know what other things are, ie birthday partys, halloween etc.
so, our children are allowed to choose if to go places etc.
last year our little boy said he didnt want to go to a halloween party, this year he said he might.

Nice way to attract lurkers.

Well, is it true, or not true? Some people have been so stripped of critical thought that they can suffer no rational criticism of their beliefs. Angel eyes is a perfect example of someone who has relenquished their critical thinking ability, and, therefore, the gift of intellectual freedom. At that point, what do you have? What are you? How much is life worth, when you've given up your ability to think for yourself?
I respect people who hold religious beliefs, but it's hard to respect those who cannot analyze their own beliefs critically. Is there any excuse for cowardice?

It's great we have another "scholar" on the boards these days. Pretty soon we'll all be wearing tin foil hats and blathering on like a Dr. Bronner's soap bottle.

Does your body have a stress reaction?
by Gregor ini suppose mine is not uncommon (see below) but i have noticed it again of late and cannot deny the connection to excessively stressful events in my life.
i involuntarily keep my jaw clinched and within a day or so i get a piercing pain in my jaw up by my ear.
anyone have a cure for this?
-
daniel-p
If Vodka and xanax make you unclench your jaw, that seems to prove that you need to learn how to relax. Preferrably without depressants.
I have trouble relaxing as well, and get rushed with adrenaline easily. I blame it on my work and where I live. but I know better, that it has more to do with my own thought processes.
So far, the biggest thing that has helped me to reduce my anxiety is exercise or strenuous physical activity, like hiking and being out in the mountains/woods.

Ive never seen it as bringing someone from the world as a Jehovahs witness, Ive just always wanted to help people get to know Jehovah and have a relationship with him. It's hard to be in a congregation, and it get harder and harder the closer to the end we get, but it still has its good points. There are lots of good, loving bro's and sister's, and I love playing around with the kids....We often have kiddy get togethers.great fun :)
Yes. It's all good if you have the mental capacity of a child and can't think for yourself.

They could all just kill themselves and then there would be zero risk of offending each other.

Why do people follow me on Twitter... even though I never tweet anything?
by Elsewhere inabout six months ago i setup a twitter account.
i posted a few tweets here and there and then got bored of it and stopped.. dispite the fact that i never tweet anything, every few days i get an email notice stating that another person has started following me.. why?
can anyone think of any reason why people would want to follow someone wo never tweets?.

I think 99% of the people using Twitter use it for the most mundane purposes, while the other 1% actually have something worth following, like civil unrest in their homeland.
The more time I spend in or around "social networking" sites, the more I relize they are anything but. More like "social devaluing" sites. You want social activities and meaning in your life? Get out in the real fucking world. Ironically, the people who have the most to say on Twitter or Facebook are those actually doing stuff in the real world.

It's just a common phrase used as a typesetting method to see how your text is going to look on the page.
