  Not The Sharpest Tools In The Box.

  i wonder how the average iq of most jw's would measure up to the average iq of non-witnesses?.

  i think that they would rate less than most.

  i say this because, having met up with a few still-witnesses recently, they just don't seem to be too prolific in the brain cell department.

  My Experience Today with My Brother

  well, my brother and his wife came over to my parent's house to visit today while i was home.. to make a long story short, while my brother and his wife were chatting with my mother in the living room, my 1 and a half year old nephew reilly walked into the kitchen where i was making a caesar salad.. he walked over towards me and was smiling, how can any normal adult resist the innocent smile of a child who is your relative?

  i picked him up and gave him a huge hug, and told him i loved him.. as i was holding my nephew in my arms, my brother walked into the room.

  he was smack dab in the middle of an in-depth conversation about jehovah with my mother and his wife, and i admit i was rolling my eyes listening to him spew about the "truth" and "the only means for salvation in the last days of this wicked system" even though when i confronted him with info on the un, blood, russell gravesite, rape changes, exclusivity, etc, he had no response for me because he was dumbfounded and lost for words.

  I am so sorry. No matter how long we're out, it doesn't really hurt any less does it? You were the better man by holding your cool, you nephew will catch on to that soon enough.

  * more than one of your friends is simply "that guy from the apostofest".. * your name is "apostofest guy" (see tourist guy!).

  * you travel over national borders in order to attend apostofests.. * you know all the regular posters here by their first names.. * you own a collection of smurfs.. * you have been referred to as the spawn of satan more than once by a jehovah's witness (bonus points for this sort of thing coming from an elder).. * you run an anti site!.

  Emotional ups and down..again

  okay, my mom has been sick, back in forth to florida i have been.

  she has a serious health issue and almost died because of the blood issue a month ago.

  she is on the mend (thankfully).

  Okay, my mom has been sick, back in forth to Florida I have been. She has a serious health issue and almost died because of the blood issue a month ago. She is on the mend (thankfully). I helped out as much as I could and it seemed to really mend our relationship. I checked in with her yesterday after she was supposed to get a vital report from the doctor. Well, SHE brought up the JW/child molestation issue again. (The first time was when there had been an article on CNN and she wanted to warn me about it). Yesterday when I called, she informed me that disgruntled witnesses were bringing reproach on Jehovah's organization etc... well, I totally lost it and just let'r rip. I am positive that I "un-did" all the progress I had made when she was sick. She hung up on me. I called back and got voice mail.

  What really pisses me off is that her father molested her as a child and I thought she would have some sort of indignation about the whole thing. She is going to protect the organization no matter what!

  It makes me feel nuts, I just don't get it and I don't think I ever will. I think I also got my hopes up because she let me help when she was so sick. I have been out for several years and I still want a relationship that I can't have anymore.

  I agree with Larc, I work in a male dominated industry - Finance- Other women I know call this company the "Old Boys Club", our Monday meetings are held in "The Bull Pen" but I have found that it really depends on the male. Insecure males are intimidated by a woman who knows her stuff, but I would say, most males who are secure with themselves are quite comfortable in an work environment that includes women. The men who seem intimidated by me are young guys, right out of college who work under me, or have to have meetings covered by me. I don't know if they ever call me a bitch, I hope not, but I wouldn't really care if they did. I just chalk it up to inexperience with women.

  Suggestion re: Attacks on Bill Bowen

  it seems that we have many new aliases popping up right now.

  all posting attacks against bill bowen personally.. note they cannot argue the facts of abuse occuring but decide to go after one of the faces that represent the whole issue at hand, bill bowen.. it just goes to show how desperate some people become trying to protect their high control religion regardless the cost to children and adult children of past abuse.. i would like to suggest that we adopt the same advice our parent's gave us while growing up as dubs.

  just ignore the taunts, the insults.

  I have never posted in anger here before, but whoever you are Psychdigg, go away...You obviously know nothing about child abuse and live in some shallow cave that belongs to the WT. How can you possibly attack anyone who has worked so hard to bring to light something so dark and vile. If you have a better idea on how to handle the situation, let's hear it. If you don't agree with Bill's method's at exposing the filth going on in the org, come up with a better idea..or shut up.
