Any James Taylor fans in the crowd?

i just watched in on public television - i am not sure if it was a 'replay' or not - but wow is all i can say.
what a fabulous show - and what a contributer to the arts this man has been.. i loved the show and hope others here share my passion for his body of work.. jeff .

Love JT ! As a musician he's a great inspiration. I saw the special last night as well--top notch. Great to see the likes of Sting, Taj Mahal, Alison Krauss and Springsteen paying tribute.
Not only is he a great artist but a class act of a human being as well.
I believe the "garage" video may have been his Squibbnocket special which was filmed in a barn on Martha's Vinyard. It's just been released on DVD. (Was produced @ 1992 but until now on available on VHS.)

The Watchtower has also said that the fact that some have Jehovah’s spirit “does not mean those now serving as Jehovah’s witnesses are inspired. It does not mean that the writings in this magazine The Watchtower are inspired and infallible without mistakes.
So what the hell does it mean? That someone can have god's spirit and still spew forth lies? -

obviously, i havent been able to read all of it yet but i did glance through it and found some of the subtle changes that the fds has seen as important revisions.

I was astonished to see that Luke 6:37 now reads "Moreover stop judging, and you will by no means be judged... unless you belong to the one true religion. Therefore judge all you want and know that you are right and everyone else is wrong."
I'm glad they cleared that one up.

considering that most dubs have the attention span of a 2 year old for anything from an a-prostate, please be consise and succint with your answers.
just trying to plant some seeds of reasoning.... maybe in-depth discussions with those folks will come at a later time.

Why does this hurt so much?
by lola28 inokay, here it is a few months ago i sent in a letter to da myself, the elders refused to da me ( there is a first time for everything, i guess) and well i just kinda let it go.
over the last month i've come to realize that life is too short to spend it doing something that does not make you happy.
i think that a very small part of me still held on to the idea that it might be the truth, but after giving it a lot of thought i've come to realize that i have not believed in this for a long time.

My heart goes out to you Lola. It really is a very liberating but painful experience. Having gone thru it a year ago I know how you feel. I have come to a lot of peace and healing over the past year but things can still bring back the pain.
I have friends on the other hand who walk the fence, knowing it's wrong but not taking a stand. I feel for them. They're trapped and putting on a show compromises their integrity to themselves. Not judging them, everyone has to do it in their own way, but just observing that for them it's like peeling the band-aid off very slowly.
I admire your courage and honesty.
