i just want to point out how they start the 2006 study article, the first paragraph only.. a young man wanted to be more useful in his congregation.
well its basically another 1975.. think about it... if the end of the world doesntr come before 2006, by the time october rolls around, the ppl born in 1914 would be 92.... so how could the ones of age to understand atthat time still be alive??? like even if of age means 6 years old, theyll still be 98... what the hell, might as well all quit our jobs, the end is so close, we wont need any money come tomorrow...

really, this tv show isn't shown much outside of canada, but is there anyone here that watches it?
tomorrow is mrs kwin (heart2heart)'s birthday, so we're going out tonight.
i was able to get tickets for the filming of this tv show, so we're going to watch it then get supper and then go to a bar and listen to a band or something like that.. i've watched the show for many years, it's not as good as when rick mercer was on it, but it's still good.

i know what youre feeling, though my thanksgiving was last month and i spent it with some friends, it was still kinda depressing not to have family to spend it with... while everyone else is out shopping for their moms and their dads, i am unfortunately shopping for a few friends, who will undoubtedly forget i even exist, since ppkl usually only buy for their family... but then again, i usually get a few gifts, so who knows... great now im all depressed

just musing.... from the vantage point of being "out", it seems to me that being dfed would be really, really painful, but ultimately a good thing.
(i was shunned by my family when i finally left though, so i know a little of what a dfed person goes through, although i didn't put myself through going back to meetings and being shunned) .
i was publicly reproved, and was not allowed to answer in meetings, but i was not shunned.
being diffed is cruel... it makes u feel like u need to be reinstated to keep friends and family... its really just a trick to get someone who finally did something right in their lives to go back to doing the shit...

a friend of mind went to elder school recently and i convoy the following for him: .
the co asked him previously if he could assist with a demonstration showing the superiority of wtbts education to university education.
my friend holds a few masters' degrees and will be starting a phd program soon so the co thought he would be an excellent candidate to demonstrate the superiority of wtbts education, but there was a little problem my friend he said no.
Education actually reduces illegitimate sex, drugs, alcohol abuse in my opinion
as much as id like to agree cuz it makes the witnesses look bad, that isnt true at all... like i work hard at skool... im triple majoring and looking to go for my PhD... but ill tell u, my university life has brought baou much more drinkin, much more sex and much more partyin... they dont want us in school cuz they dont want us to think...

i am new to the board and am looking forward to many insightful discussions here.. a good friend of mine attends a congregation where sisters are working behind both the literature and magazine counters.
the brothers who were handling those responsibilities were removed because in the elder body's opinion, none of them were "exemplerary".police officer explained that save for the elders and a few of the ministerial servants, none of the men in the congregation were meeting the national average in field service time, so for the foreseeable future, "exemplerary".
the irony here though is that the same men who are unfit to handle the literature and magazine counters are qualified to offer opening and closing prayer for meetings and do reading for the watchtower study.
theres nothing wrong with it... but it is weird that the DUBS are allowing it... they have so many un-exemplary ppl doing tihngs, and theyre all retarded... so, i dont see why this congregation would do it differently.... maybe someones having a crisis of conscience... (the PO)..

i had a talk with my father last night about the practice of disfellowshipping.my father is an active jw with privileges in the local hall.he doesn't seem in total agreement with the shunning practice of the wts,and he brought out the example of the prodigal son.we had a good discussion and i'm going to research it some more through the chapter on the misuse of disfellowshipping in the book in search of christian freedom.. anyways,i thought i'd look it up in the reasoning book to see what the wts reasoning on disfellowshipping was.it turns out it's not in the table of contents or in the index.i thought this odd;how would one reason on this with a householder who asks about it?
why is there nothing in the reasoning book on a subject every jw says is scriptural?.
