  What faithful JW's do you pity the most?

  many of us have family in the borg, we are anxious to get them out, .

  we might be very angry with the borg.. but who among the jw do you really just pity?

  is it elders, pioneers, retired folks w/o decent retirement?.

  So true! I am 30 years old and I grew up with two other witness girls. We were BEST friends, we did everything together and as we hit our 20's we were constantly at each others houses and hanging out with the cool guys from a neighboring hall. Two of us eventually married, but one girl, OMG, she's 29 and still single. Imagine being a virgin that long? But, she must feel so lonely, I feel bad for her. The funny thing is that she is so attractive and slim. We always said she could be a model. So, I never got it. Maybe she scared the brothers off.

  Were you ever "all in"?

  for those of us here who are xjw's for varying degrees (df's, ds'd or just faded away {the greatest feat of all}) looking back to your years as an active jw, were you ever 100% mentally?

  i thought i was but looking back when i was a ms and being groomed for elder i was very zealous but still didn't like field service but loved helping out.

  now i look back i see i was just looking for acceptance from other, not serving god.. i would elaborate but i plan on posting "my story" soon.. how about you?.

  When I pioneered (especially during the first year and pioneer school) I thought I felt God's spirit more then any time in my life. I was 100% then. But, then my sister was disfellowshipped and it really messed with me that I couldn't have anything to do with her as a pioneer and 'an example'. I only lasted 2 years as one, got hauled into a meeting with the elders about hanging with her and it made me so angry that they didn't want me to associate with my own flesh and blood. First, I lost the pioneer 'status' (cause that's all it is) and then a few months later I was gone.

  So, yea, for about one year, out of 23, I was 100% IMPRESSIVE

  All the other years, something just didn't seem right. And if something bothered me I would just read more and 'convince' myself that my doubts would go away. That my doubts meant something was wrong with me, not the organization.

  DID ANYONE ELSE GET PASSED OVER W/THE KN TRACT?

  i live in a small, rural town pop.

  2000. my daughter and i did not get any visit or tract.. i thought this was supposed to be a final warning - a life saving work.. not complaining, but just curious if you didn't get one.. juni .

  I welcomed a visit to get the tract, just so I could really upset whoever (from my old hall) came to my door. But, my sister must have let them know how actively anti-JW I am and told them not to waste their time.

  We're moving out-of-town in a few weeks, so I can't wait to get a visit from that local congregation. Maybe I'll have a little fun with it...

  The senders elder body might be interested in knowing about that email. It'd be fun to see them get in trouble over that one.

  The email also shows how angry they get doing the preaching work. There must be a lot more people fed up with their message now, compared to 7 years ago when I was in.

  Sorry 2 hear that you and your wife are having a tough time right now. My dad was not a witness and it didn't always make life happy. My parents had to work extra hard to stay together. But, their 35 years strong now!

  What Do People Hate Most About JWs???

  i think most "worldly" people consider jws a nusiance---especially on a saturday morning!

  they hate being bothered by peddlers at their door.

  some people can't stand the witnesses' smugness and self righteous attitude.

  Phil, they do. It's called a 'do not call'. Or whatever, it's been awhile. From what I remember the elders would make the decision to put you down as a 'do not call.' It takes a lot to get you there, though. i.e. physical or verbal abuse, huge dog, telling them to never come back, or else... that sort of stuff

  Who else would never accept to go to a Judicial Committee?

  i was never df'd.

  if ever the elders asked me to attend a judicial committee for some reason, i would refuse.

  i would never accept to go to their kangaroo court.

  The wonderful thing about not showing up is finding out that they d'effed you anyway, without you being present. It happened to two people I know. Unfortunately, I was a glutton for punishment and I went. Yea, it sucked.

  Questions for JWs

  hi everyone, been away for a while so firstly just want to say hello, hope you are all well.. theres a really interesting thread about witnesses running on another board, loads of people are asking basic questions like "why dont you celebrate xmas" etc, and a whole load of witnesses are answering, obviously happy to increase their hours.. i just thought id be evil and ask you lot for some awkward questions to ask them.. so come on, give me your worst.. by the way, the other forum is not witness related at all..
