what rules did you find, you couldn't help breaking as a witness?.
i swore sometimes, got me and a mate drunk, copied software e.t.c (caesars things to caesar), celebrated a birthday/christmas or two...went against some stuff we were told not to do in the young people ask book...erm.... how about you?
I wore my skirts above my knee and got a secret peircing.
my mom is pressuring me into going to the convention this weekend.
she has successfully thwarted all of my excuses and now i have to use the standby, " i have to work".
my brothers are telling her that they really need to get me to go, it is real important.
My mom is pressuring me into going to the convention this weekend. She has successfully thwarted all of my excuses and now I have to use the standby, " I have to work". My brothers are telling her that they really need to get me to go, it is real important. I don't have the courage to tell her the truth about my feelings. I am really frustrated and after a stressful weekend with my husbands family; we were caught going to a nephew's BD party, I am a nervous wreck. I hate feeling this way and I know that eventually the will force me to be blunt but right now I prefer the "ostrich method", sad I know. Anyway are there threads on the convention, notes and the Drama. My brothers is going on and on about the drama. Sometimes I actually feel like I am going to die for my "inactivity" they are so convincing, I know a lot of you know how I feel. Anyway I will be strong and suck it up,.If I am forced I will start yet another conversation that leaves my mothers upset and me shaking, sounds like fun.

i think i fixed my computer..... it was always turning off for no reason.
i opened it up and cleaned the fan, and the computer goes well now....lets hope it will last.. other than that, i don't fix many things.. .
I put extra shelves in my kitchen cabinets. Ran the table saw, measured and power drilled all by myself.
my two sisters did the right thing, pioneering straight out of school, janitoring to pay for the petrol (one didn't even bother with her final year of school).
it was this kind of fine example that got me guilt-tripped into auxiliary pioneering just after getting baptised at age 20. i only lasted six months; i took a holiday in queensland and returned not knowing much more about life but at least that it's bigger than my little congregation.
i despised the field service, i dreaded the daily schedule and every morning i was on my way out there was this awful countdown from the alarm going off to the first door opening, knowing that it's just a big setup to another depressing humiliation.
I auxiliary pioneered every summer and upon graduation entered the full time service, 1993. I stopped pioneering when I was married in 1995.

its the middle of summer, i am trying to keep 3... 6 footers fed and can only serve steak or hamburgers so many nights.. its too hot to heat up the oven and i am running out of ideas.. any grill miesters out there willing to share your favorite recipe would be appreciated, including marinades, veggie side dishes etc.. many thanks in advance.
(yes i know this isn't a cooking forum, but we all have to eat and thought it would be fun for everyone!).
Salmon:
Place your salmon in tin foil. top it with a honey mustard mixture, and favorite herbs. Wrap it tight and throw it on the grill.
Brats:
Grill your brats and then place them in a pan on the side full of beer with sauteed onions.
Potatoes:
Dice potatoes and onions, season and wrap in tin foil.
Make a foil bag and fill with various veggies that are coated in olive oil and seasoning.
a car full of sisters whom i've known for years showed up today.
one got out of the car and asked if i got my "invitation".
she let me know that they were supposed to give one to everybody.
Are these invitations being delivered through all congregations or just in the cities where the actual conventions are being held?
i know i don't post much, but this board has been a source of confort to me in my journey out of the borg.
that is why i want to share with my online friends that my beagle, remington, is very ill and i would appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.
he is only 8-yrs-old and is my baby.
I will keep you in my thoughts, I have pets as well.
before i am criticized for this, please understand the difficulty of having this book in the house while still a jw.
i was hoping to find this book or portions of it online.
please pm me if you have any details.
I know exactly how you feel. My husband ordered it and I was horrified. He kept bugging me to read it and I of course said NO. He was persistent, remember the WT's encouragement to leave magazines laying around for people in your household, or sharing small tidbits? My husband did just that, he would share small pieces with me and I would eventually ask him to show me. I did eventually pick it up to read. It is great, I strongly recommend getting over that initial feeling of "abhorrence" and "wt training" and dive in. You will be happy that you did.
