Just got back from the Public Talk/WT study......very disappointed
by R.F. inso i finally went back to the sunday meeting after missing it for over a month.
i've been to the tms/service meeting a couple of weeks ago by the way, but i've consistently missed the one for sunday.. i dreaded going, but i think i will go to the sunday meetings every couple of weeks for a while.
between my dad and another factor, i think it will be best to go that route for a while.

when wwii started it was the great tribulation commencing again such that all of those jw's between the two world wars belonged to the great crowd.
in 1968 at the peace on earth international convention, the society changed its teaching and made the great tribulation a yet future event.

by choosing life inin the garden of eden, god supposedly didn't want adam and eve to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad.
he preferred they remain innocent and incapable of deciding for themselves what is right or wrong.. along comes satan who wants them to eat of this tree and says they will become like god, knowing good and bad for themselves.
he says they will be like god.. as we all know, they chose to eat and find out what they were missing.

There is a great book called Myths of the Bible and their paralells in other religions by TW Doane. This guys arguments are pretty good, but Doane goes a lot further and presents the pre-semitic pagan origins of Bible stories, including the Jesus myth.

Why label it a cult?

the word cult is a necessary term so that these groups can be differentiated from normal healthy groups. Sure, it is a shortcut, but so is every noun in existence. Calling you a woman is a shortcut for person with a vagina, among other things that difzferentiate you from a man. Cults, hard drugs, alcoholism, stealing, getting involved in organized crime, smoking, unsafe sex are all things to avoid. There is nothing normal about what this cult does to its people.

It's time to grow up and realize that masterbation is not a sin and is normal, healthy and NECESSARY! If your wife can't understand that then you are much to be pitied. See a counselor about it if it becomes a problem. You should just tell your wife outright that you masterbate and that she should too. Offer to buy her some toys and use them with her. But, "fighting" it is just stupid.
