i seem to remember some statistics on this but I'd like to find out how many you all think there are. I remember hearing a statistic that I think came from the WT itself, stating that 70,000 JWs are disfellowshipped every year. So if every Witness that has been disfelloshipped for the last 50 years is still alive, and we say that the average JWs DFd a year is more like 50,000, that's 50,000 x 50 which equals - 2,500,000 ex-JWs. If one third return each year that equals= 1,666,667, no pun on the 6s.
So, does anybody have any other estimates on this. Do you agree or disagree? I'd like to take an average of what everybody on this board thinks that figure should be.
Thanks for playing.
This is not a joke, how dare you!
No, it's just an expression. I don't mean to insinuate that it is actually something to be made fun of, like an actual joke.
You should be more sensitive.
I know, can you forgive me?
I don't know if Jesus' blood is enough to cover you, sorry.
Damn, damned again!

The End of Jehovah`s Witness`s
by OUTLAW inwe see alot of topics on the board about the end of the wbt$..i don`t think that will happen in our lifetime........so..lets change our focus..kingdom halls are getting fewer and fewer jw`s in them..congregations are being dissolved and kingdom halls are sold off..many jw`s are very unhappy and we see alot of them on this board.....the wbt$ is a billion dollar organization, they will survive for along time to come..........how about the jehovah`s witness`s?.......with fewer and fewer members..information about the wbt$ on the internet..and..some very depressed jehovah`s witness`s looking for a way out of the cult they are in.....will the "jehovah`s witness`s" survive?...outlaw

I would love to study the subject of organizational warfare and discover how the government goes about infiltrating groups and eventually breaking them up like they did in the case of the Black Panthers. I have some theories and would love to form a task force that actively attempts to undermine the stability of congregations, possibly taking on one congregation at a time. i figure a team of 10 to 20 people could infiltrate a Hall and bring it down in about a year using various methods used by US Departments. but this is one of those, "Wouldn't it be nice if..." type of things that no one ever seems to want to commit to.

Letter - Anonymity Required?
by Steady As She Goes ini am baptised and wish to write a letter to the brooklyn branch requesting a response to two belief-related issues regarding which i have recently educated myself.
the reply to this letter will likely play a large part in my determining how the rest of my life is lived.
i have decided that whatever i do or do not believe in times to come, i will not disassociate myself.

The society will not respond to anonymous letters. They are very clear on this point. So, DO NOT USE YOUR OWN ADDRESS. DO NOT USE YOUR OWN NAME. It would be better if you wrote as a worldly person with questions rather than a witness. One reason for this is that they give different answers to worldly people. As you've probably noticed from letters posted on this forum, the society will try to guilt you out of wanting an answer to your questions. Just look at a recent letter on the subject of the UN was handled. The society will question your motives first, which always results in ad hominem arguments. They will reccommend prayer, open confession to your elders etc. rather than concentrating on your question. In fact, if you present yourself as a witness, they might not even answer your question at all. Instead they will just tell you how you shouldn't question the FDS. They will ask you over and over if you believe in the FDS. If you do, they will say to just trust the FDS and forget about your questions. This is the experience I've had with correspondence with the WTS. Good luck and BE CAREFUL. they will fuck you over if they can, and they will not feel bad about it.

Sept. KM QB. Endorse vs. Approve. Tempest in a teapot?
by Open mind ini think this horse is nearing unconsciousness, but i'll beat it a few more times.
the whole sept 07 kingdom ministry question box hinges around the word "endorse", imho.. some apologists are saying, "hey this is not a big deal.
the f&d slave isn't saying they don't "approve" of jws doing these things, they're just saying that they don't officially, publicly, "endorse" them.

No ticket required, we do not charge for the meet-up, but the meet-up is not free either because it costs money to make. So we do ask for a contribution to the World Wide Meet-up at the time of the meeting. I repeat we do not charge for the meet-up, but it is not free. Make sense? Of couse the meet-up is free, in case you don't get my humor.

For all you Jesus freaks out there.
by Shawn10538 inwhich scriptures are the best for describing just exactly who jesus is?
thanks for playing.
-
Shawn10538
Thanks to those who offered up scriptures. Due to your kindness and not taking yourself too seriously, I now am a true believer in Jesus. Wait, I just read the other posts who wouldn't share Jesus' beautiful truths with me and now I'm stumbled. How can I be a Christian when Jesus own followers won't share a scripture with me. I guess I'm damned again.
