  i will start....i can speak conversational albanian....thanks to the foreign language field...really useful in everyday life as a cleaner....sniff...why didnt i pick mandarin?

  ..would be useful when they take over the world....but one day i will find an albanian to talk to ...that or a needle in a haystack....the emmerdalian world of jw's

  I can set an alarm clock in my head before sleeping, so that I can wake up at a certain time.

  I generally wake up just a minute or so before my alarm clock actually goes off. If it set it for 5:45, Ill wake up at 5:44. Odd..

  hi all: i came across something very interesting, in looking at this pdf there is a list of ngo's that attended for some conference on anti-semitism and guess who is on there?

  if you scroll down you will find that in belgium the wts (under their european christian jehovah's witness umbrella) but if you scroll down to the us section you will find that they show up as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, so apparently as of 2005 when this conference was held, they were still an ngo, does anyone else know about this?.

  1914, 607 and why the details don't mean as much as the bigger picture

  i wrote this just because i recently saw some people on another site trying to defend the 607 date.

  this is mostly for lurkers, those who still may be hodling onto the idea that there is truth in this date.

  probably one of the most talked about wt doctrines is that of 1914 and the 'gentile times'.

  What actually did happen in 1914 (a war) the WTS specifically said WOULD NOT happen

  This is probably posted all over the place and Ive just managed to miss it for the last year and a half that Ive been here, but when did they say that war wouldnt happen in that year? I'd love to have that little piece of info.

  a couple of years ago a nw flight kept passengers on the tarmac for over 8 hrs.

  because of back up at gates related to bad weather.

  yesterday, jetblue did the same thing for 11 hours.

  I think its pretty common practice to screw the customer as much as possible in the airline biz. Last year I got stuck on the tarmac for about 4 hours because of bad weather. They knew exactly what they were doing when they had everyone board the plane, only to immediately put us on hold. They just needed the gate for a plane that was coming in Im sure.

  Same situation as regards the food and water, they claimed to only have 3 bottles on board and it wasnt a flight with a meal. At least we had a bathroom though.

  Fun at the book study

  i know what you're thinking.

  how can you possibly have fun at the book study?

  well, it's easy to have fun with the revelation book, it's so full of forced interpretations and massive holes, you can just rip it apart (subtly, of course) it's also much easier to question things in a smaller group.
