good idea or not?.
microchip children, for safety's sake .
if our pets can be microchipped in case they are lost or stolen, why can't children?# i am not talking about a mandatory law for all children.
Six,I looked at the links you posted before I posted, knew what you were talking about. The implanted device would not be obvious,if it were like those I'm familiar with, but if it became commonplace,or if their was any reason for the abductor to suspect it,it could become a danger. The only implantable devices I have found any info on are for ID purpopses only - readable only at a very close range.Anything that sends a tracking signal would have to be external(thus rather obvious),at this point in time.If an implantable tracking device were available,I'd be very interested, too.

I'm assuming what Crystal is talking about is the same type of Implantable microchip used for identification of livestock. They're injected under the skin, and are tiny enough to be next to impossible to find (unless of course you have a reader). They have been known to migrate around in the body sometimes, making them pretty tough, sometimes impossible to find.I'm sure some higher degree of technology would be practical if used for human id. purposes, but like Six,i'd be terrified of someone trying to remove it.

i heard this song on the radio yesterday, and everytime i hear it i get goose bumps and cry.
i thought i would post it , it seems to be so relevent now because of all the child abuse that is going on in the world right now.
there are so many forms of child abuse ranging in different degrees of depravity and cruelty.
Lyin, that one brings a tear to my eyes every time.I think,if you believe in a higher power of any sort, the significant part is that she wasn't alone in the worst of times.
Cowboy
there have been alot of post about feminity.
i am sharing a bit of writing done by my daughter.
my 10 year old daughter.
She's right,ya know....I bought a used Ford truck from Satan,one time....

today i had my jeep towed into the shop..i dreaded the ride in with the driver (im extremly shy).
but we ended up haveing a great conversation about what vehicle i should buy next.. what a perfect person to ask cuz of his job.
he said "dont get another jeep they roll too easy and they catch on fire.".
I'm into big pickups,too.I've got a '99 Ford F250 super duty super cab 4x4,(red w/dark tinted windows,aluminum wheels,big tires...).It's got the 5.4 V-8 and automatic,has 180K miles on it,and doesn't burn a drop of oil.No problems outside of normal wear,I'm really impressed with this truck.
With the miles adding up on the Ford, and the cheap interest last fall (even cheaper now ),I bought an '01 Chevy 1500hd crew cab shortbed 4x4,with the 6.0 V-8.So far I'm real happy with it,too. It's a little more comfortable than the Ford...just hope it proves to be as tough.(it's burgundy colored with dark tinted windows, haven't gotten around to doing anything extra to it yet,but it's time will come)
Also love those late 60's muscle cars....

) a beard, but my wife hates it.
i've changed my profile pic to reflect four states of facial hairiness (if it doesn't show, hit "refresh" on your browser).. i'm interested in your opinions.
