Movies, can you relax and watch them or are they just useless waste of time

as witnesses we were constantly bombarded with idea how movies are dangerous waste of time and that our time could be better spent.

i know that is exterme view but i still feel guilty when just sitting there and watching a movie like that.

i've spoken with few of my old friends and they feel the same.

Movies are great for relaxation and entertainment, if a person can allow themselves the time without feeling guilty. Being a single mother with a fulltime job, it was hard to justify time spent watching movies since there was always so much work to do. But my daughter wanted me to watch them with her, so I did. Now, I have a major project that's taking nearly all my free time, and I feel guilty about taking time to watch movies. (Sadly, I think all I've seen in the last 3 months are Casino Royale & Shrek3)

Since I'm still single, I guess it wasn't hard to follow the command and I'm kind of glad I didn't marry a JW because it could make fading a lot harder. The saddest thing about the whole situation is that I didn't get to have more children. I can still find love, but it's a bit late to have babies.

My First Born Is Graduating Tomorrow

i just know im gonna blubber through the whole thing.

i went to senior awards night last night where he was given his scholarship and every time they said the class of 2007!!

My daughter (and only child) graduates next Saturday and I'll be taking a whole box of Kleenex with me to the ceremony.

Do We Pair Off With People Who Look Like We Do?

do we pair off with people who look like we do?the thought of what physically attracts one individual with another crossed.

my mind recently and it raised some questions about the subject.

there are some dating websites that promote relationship compatibility .

There's been some research that shows people are attracted to others who have the same or similar face symmetry or who's appearance reminds them of some loved one from their childhood (ex: Prince Charles interest in Camille Parker Bowes who favored his nanny.)

please forgive me if it has, but i would like to know how many on board are active witnesses, inactive, da/df''d, or never been witnesses.. i am inactive since 2005, black female, separated, head of household, etc.. rsvp.

43 yo single female, df'd once and reinstated to maintain family relationships, inactive or irregular for many years, now fading for the same reason. This year, I've been to the Memorial, and will probably have to attend that in the future for appearances.

Senior Prom For My Daughter

My daughter went to the prom too - she looked beautiful and we had fun together getting her ready. To their credit, none of my JW family lectured us on her attendance at the prom, and I felt free to discuss it openly with them.

Humour? Financial security and looks?

these are what might be considered classic things that a person might be attracted to, in order to contemplate a romantic relationship with someone, i was particularly thinking of women being attracted to men that is.

possibily a combination of these three, is that your experience here?

what other things do you look for other than these and how much would you compromise over what you would like and what you would or have got?
