  Need Some Help Understanding

  i am a non jw, who has met a jw and we have been online chatting for last 9 months.

  i have fallen in love with him.

  he has been trying to push me away lately, and finding out one of the reasons is because of the religious background.

  Brokenhearted...He was probably reported to the elders because his ex-wife wanted to be scripturally free to married ago...I know of a brother who wanted to marry again but couldn't because he divorced his wife and wasn't "scripturally" he stayed single for a couple of years..that is until he met a sister he wanted to marry...well he and another brother decided to play detective...followed his ex-wife around one evening...she has met up with a man...they went to his house...and to make a long story short...the brother and his witness because you have to have two witnesses to an act in order for it to be true....staked out her house all night long and the next morning...both of them approached her as she was leaving..questioning her about her actions that night....needless to say...the brother was freed to be marry again....and was married two months later....

  Personally, I knew I didn't want to marry a brother because most of them hide behind the Bible's principle of submission whether they are right or wrong...I remember the first time I told a sister that I didn't want to marry a brother...she was offended and went to the brothers...about it...when I was approached by the elders...I let them know that marrying out of the truth isn't a disfellowshipping offense...actually talking to someone isn't a disfellowshipping offense...

  Y'all don't know much about me...I usually make a comment here and there....maybe someday I will share my story with you...but for now the first thing that pops up into my mind is...are those old green bibles..and the little pink great teacher book...

  i remember very few of the details, of when, where and exactly what took place, however a few years ago i was told the story about three elders that were walking together and the middle.

  elder was struck and killed by lightning.

  the other two elders went to his house to help out his wife and discovered 'apostate' material in their home.

  Oh I remember about the smufs...and the troll dolls...not being able to watch Disney's Beauty and the Beast because they lived in an 'enchanted" castle...I heard the story about the screaming smufs and the sister's being protected by the Angels...etc. I often wondered what was true or made up...

  Worst/strangest bookstudy group

  ok, i was reading the "worst bookstudy book" thread, and it got me thinking about the worst book study groups i went to.

  once, my dad was study conductor and the study was held in an elderly sister's home.

  there was antique furniture and doilies on the tables.

  The Bookstudy Conductor would always start the meeting with a kind of roll call...I always felt sorry for this one brother who would always be asked where he mother was....why his father wasn't there....and if his sister is ever going to make it back to the meetings...Sad thing was that the bookstudy was being held the brother's grandmother's house....

  sorry for this but my partner has been trying to find the answer to this question.... what do american children call the tooth fairy??

  he is convinced you have a different term for it, could anyone please tell him and put me out of my misery!!!.

  my mom and my sister came to visit....

  now in case you're wondering why this is such a big deal and why the tears are streaming down my face right now, feel free to look at my story as i like to call it.... http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/7/101870/1758191/post.ashx#1758191.

  so i think it was thursday i decided to make a huge pot of my little sisters favorite soup for her... when i went to drop it off at their house, well, they werent home, so i left it there with a note just saying hi to her and my mom, and that i miss them and love them... which is probably a shot at my dad who, well you know what i think of him.... i was quite perturbed because i did not receive a phone call or anything to acknowledge that they had received it... so i was a little worried that my father had found it and ripped up my note and thown the soup away... i know it sounds stupid, but i made the soup for my sister, and i mean, i guess it was just to show her how much she means to me... i guess i could have bought her some kind of present, but i dunno, making something seemed right at the time..... so anyways, finally today i get home from school and find a note under my door... they had both come to visit and they left me a note... well my mom wrote a quick note saying they had visited and were sorry they missed me and thanks so much for the soup and for bringing it to them and showing that i do miss them.... she wishes she had been able to see me... my sister wrote me a letter, and left it under my door as well... she wrote on the enveloppe she wanted to give it to me, but was sad she couldnt see me... she says shell call.... this wouldnt be such a big deal, but its the first contact ive had with her in three months or so... i mean, ive called and left messages, but i dont know if any of them even get to her... this little girl means the world to me... and i havent been able to see her in months.... it isnt fair.... so here i am sitting by the phone, thinking of calling in sick to work, just so i can speak to her, i dont want to miss her call... .

  i feel so alone right now, and i just dont know.... im pathetic i know, but i miss her so much..... the infamous one

  You hang in there....You want to bet the first person your sister goes to if there is any problems will be her big brother...and we all know you will be there waiting for her...by the way the only thing pathelic about your story is how you were treated by your father and the elders in the congregation...keep up the studying....an education is something that can never be take away from you....that is what I keep telling my students....
