i had a "discussion" with my wife today.
i stated that in the past you should never be alone with those of the opposite sex even if they were relatives because of the dangers of fornication etc.
(don't visit them alone) i don't think i am making this up.
This is true! It's a written rule in Bethel, i believe it's in the Dwelling Together in Unity manual. I think an old version is posted somewhere.
In Bethel, you knew a Bethelite was visiting a single sister when the door was wide open, not only wide open but they had to be within view.

today, i made up my mind to be as big of an ass as possible at the meeting so they force me out rather than to whimper on my own and let the jw's say that "maybe he wasn't right for it afterall".
so first thing i did was i loaded up on liquid courage.
second thing i did was wore my "kiss my ass" t-shirt.

They would proabably be asked by the PO in their hall to handle x situation and they will say, sorry I am at Bethel and Bethel is priority plus my assignment does not allow me to handle congregation activities. I would want have a Bethelite ask a GB member how many committees they have been in recently.

it seems to me that they are indroctronating them selves with espressions that even the watchtower doesnt explicitly teach.
yeah, the WT tries to BE ALL KNOWING... trying to be like God.
They can assume all they want ... but as I taught from the platform as an Elder... if it's not in Bible, it's only conjecture from a WT writer it the paragraph says, "it is believed, or, this can lead to, etc." I taught my book study to especially underline words like those ... this was even before I became your friendly neighborhood apostate. Go figure.

this watchtower study today, i just got back from, was all about how great the elders are.
what always wigs me out about these things (because they trot this stuff out in a wt study every year or two) is how the elder conducting the study is up there talking about and praising the elders in the third person, saying how great they are, when he is an elder.
I personally think who ever is left in the borg are all vicitms. There is no way in the world you can analyze WT History and support it sincerely. That goes against all reason. Look at us? That is where we were was it not?
The WT is crumbling right now ... these are definately the last days of the WT.

i wandered outside the convention around mid-afternoon, returning for the concluding song, so i didn't get to hear "summary of the botchtower" nor the final talk (which gets all the seals clapping).. .

Speaking with some "great" elders in bethel, they use to say, we are all dust good for nothing slaves. I liked those brothers. Like you said, all the great elders eventually flock over here (at least the ones with internet). We can't support such wickedness in the org.
