one newboy elder in our hall (straight up company man) always ends, "and we offer this prayer based on christ's blood" another pub and another elder at different times told me that it should conclude "in the name of J.C." ... he still says "based on the blood and merits of Christ's blood". dumb company man!

seems like the mags, the km's, the books are all recycled information from the 1980's.. seems like they thought the end would come in the late 80's based on all the armageddon articles (i seem to remember lots of those in those years).. once we hit the 90's, the some ol recycled information, it's like groundhog day.

seems like the wt writers are cuttin and pastin.

why doesn't jehovah bless his people with the greatest writers of all time for the biggest event of all time?

while at bethel we hardly cared what was in the mags unless someone mentioned something new/different which was once in a blue moon. with the bethel schedule, no one was able to catch up the pubs. i mean why? it was all regurtitated trash!

even before i saw the truth behind the truth, i did noticed that this was all repetitive stuff but i fell for the stupid illustrations of "don't we eat everyday? don't we eat the same food at different days? do we tired of eating the same meals?" or "the new ones might be attending the meeting so this is new to them" i fell to this like a dumb arse.

How did the WT art affect you? Did you find subliminal WT art as a JW?

i was always impressed by the art in wt literature, especially by pictures of the throne of god, heaven and angels, the visions of daniel and revelation.

these added in deepening my acceptance and understanding of wt teaching.

the earthly hope was very appealing to me, yet i whished to be able to go to heaven for a short time just to see the spirit realm and then return to live in earthly paradise.

recently my family had occasion to attend a function held in our honor, an event commemorating a certain achievement.

it was thrown by close relatives, witnesses all.

it included parents, grandparents, cousins, siblings, auties and uncles.

If heavens so great why don't people want to die?

i have often wondered that since heaven is supposedly so great, why don't people want to die?.

likewise with jw's, many i know don't stop complaining about how bad this system is.

so why don't they want to die, and wake up in an instant in paradise?.

i think if you have nothing to live for it would be easier. their are probably other ways to die than besides takin a gunshot blast. maybe some pills that make you go to sleep and you don't wake up anymore?
