Crimewatch - LIVE at my flat! & Have you been a victim?

so this is my 7th night living in my new place.

last night i was getting ready to watch crimewatch on bbc1 when i hear some strange noises out the back.

i take a look - there's two men breaking in to the flat next door but one - breaking the glass and then climbing in.. shortly after whilst i am still wondering if i really saw that - i am making a cup of tea and look out of my kitchen window and see a dubious character in a baseball cap trying car doors then stomping away and then coming back.

Years ago in Scotland we had a break-in. My parents heard noises downstairs (two storey house) My dad (elder ), grabbed the shotgun from under his bed, (lol unloaded). He ran downstairs to confront the thief who made out through the window with mum's handbag, dad chased him down the street in his Y-fronts, with the shotgun, hehe, but lost him. Meanwhile my I was woken up by the banshee's wailing, my mum yelling ring the police, as she dialed 999, I rang over the top of her and disconnected the call.... the "poliss" eventually got there! Long story short, no burgler found, one broken window, we all felt violated.

I live now in a small town in NSW, Australia, and I'm in a rural setting. I feel safe to leave the doors unlocked at all times, even when I go out. Crime is around, but not rampant. A couple of years back we were in Sydney and I foolishly left the mobile phone in the car still plugged in the the charger. We returned to find the car window smashed and the phone gone.......rang the police and reported the event, all done over the phone. End of story.

Tij......(you owe me an email!).........I remember staying at a friends from work, on the second floor, 12am my parents arrived and started smashing down the door to rescue their daughter. She was mortified cause she said everyone in the close would be talking about her

Kitten, I missed your FLY Lady thread, but I actually found the site, about 3 weeks ago, whilst doing a google search for housekeeping schedules...........It is so good, who would have thought that shining your sink would set in motion a whole chain of positive results..........I love it, and the rest of the family are enthused too.

I bought "sink reflections" and "Body clutter".....what inspiring books they are for all aspects of life.

i wonder why families treat there own flesh and blood with so much contempt because they are inactive or disfellowshipped.. 6 week ago my father who is po of congregation ask me if i would like to go to the cricket to watch australia and england play.at the time i asked if any jw were going he said no.i payed for the ticket.did not hear from him for 6 weeks so rang up yesterday to ask about arrangments and was told that the brothers were going.

yes that right 3 elders and my nephew.. i did not ask to go i was invited.i payed for my ticket 6 weeks ago yet did not even get aphone call.when i conveyed my disgust to my father he blamed me.i can not fathom his reasoning.. so some elder is sitting in my seat watching cricket with a ticket i payed for.hope he gets hit on the head with a cricket ball.. my father is an intelligent man yet sometimes there thinking processes are so warped.they would not treat some drug addict they dragged to kingdom hall who shows interest the same way they treat own flesh and blood.. in 20 years time i think that jws will be a very small religion or almost extinct.if they keep up with there current thinking they will self destruct.tearing families apart will not make for a strong organization.
