  So can apostates attend jw weddings now?

  i have been officially gone from the witnesses less than 2 months but i know they are always coming out with new light.

  i got a shock today when i was invited to a cousins wedding that will be held in a kh.

  i am not invited to the reception.

  I have been officially gone from the witnesses less than 2 months but I know they are always coming out with new light. I got a shock today when I was invited to a cousins wedding that will be held in a KH. I am not invited to the reception. What's up with that??? I fired the witnesses as my religion after I got sick of their witch hunt and were about to df me. I know sometimes df'd ones are invited to weddings but a known apostate? I am in shock that I was even invited and not sure why. I posted my your fired letter on the kh door for goodness sake. Maybe she wants a gift???

  ya know... i'm a bit amazed at times at how utterly out of touch with reality jw's can be.

  here's a little bit of a background of what's been going on....

  i've been having an on going issue with my jw family about my husband & i(and our 4 young children) no longer going to meetings and us having questions/problems with this religion.we are not df'd nor da'd (at this point) but have not been to a meeting in about 7 months and have been inactive for probably 3-4 years now.we haven't lived near my parents for several years so they have been a little "in the dark" so to speak as to us being inactive but we kinda were given a bit of "lee-way" since 5 yrs.

  Wow, I just read the first post you ever made. You certainly have come a long way since then.

  I am actually really embarrassed by those early threads of mine. The what will it take for you to come back to Jehovah makes me want to hurl. Research and the internet is a wonderful thing. Thank goodness I am no longer a "sheep".

  Hi everyone. I wanted to post a little update. I have been beseiged (sp?) with phone calls and e-mails wanting to know if its true that I am no longer a JW. My former friend even called to ream me about turning apostate and called me the biggest dumbass ever. Are JW's supposed to use that kind of language? If I were still a dubbie I would have turned her in. So to the e-mails I respond with a generic "No I am not an apostate. The Faithful and Discreet Slave are the apostates." I have been accused of of everything from blasphemy to being the child of Satan. The e-mails are getting fewer and fewer. I was walking in Wal-Mart and this one dubbie tried to avoid me. He was giving me hateful looks, not watching where he was going and he walked right into a bunch of carts. It was so funny. Other than that all is well in my life. Hope everyone else is doing well.

  P.S. Someone tried to send me a PM but I cannot access it or see who it is from. There must be some kind of technical glich. I will try again next time I log on.

  When I quit the meetings I had family and friends coming by day and night and I was told how I would die at Armageddon. When they sent my a final kiss off e-mail of I am never going to see or speak to you again as long as I am an apostate I replied that I would rather die at armageddon that spend eternity with JW's. My dad then replied that I was now a child of Satan. I replied with a laughing yahoo icon. Good riddance is all I have to say.

  I am so sorry your family decided to sacrifice you on that altar, but maybe they will choose differently later. After all, you did, and you never thought you would have.

  I certainly hope so. There are some thinkers in my family. I think a cousin of mine might be seeing the light. He said there has to be something to it if both my brother and I left. For his sake I hope he keeps researching.

  A lot has happened since I last posted. I was caught associating with my apostate brother at my own house. We were eating together. You know what a sin. So anyway I was verbally summoned to a JC by the local village idioits elders. I don't think they wrote any letters because I threatened to put them on the internet. I canceled twice on them and finally stood them up on the third time. I went to the KH and posted on the door telling them I fired the Watchtower Society as my religion. I certainly was not going to submit myself to a JC. My letter went like this:

  To whom it may concern,

  Give this message to the Watchtower Bible and Crap Society: "YOU'RE FIRED".

  Sincerely,

  The announcement is going to be made tonight that I am no longer one of JW's. I got a final e-mail from the family telling me that from now on they will have nothing to do with me. I knew that would happen and prepared myself for it.

  One thing that I would have done different is not let my family violate my privacy the way they did. They were digging through my trash. To any newbies who are exiting and being harassed there concern for you I think is a way to guilt trip and control you. I put up with way too much. I let them get away with it because I knew how upset they were. It's NOT normal behaviour to dig in someones trash and do drivebys your house or show up at all hours of the day and night. You have the right to be left in peace and you are doing them no favors letting them get away with such behavior. I wish I had stood up for myself more.

  So anyway I am officially free. YAYEE!!!!

  I've always known deep down that I would not be able to fade because well my family would not let me and were keeping such close tabs on me I was bound to be found out sooner or later. That day has finally come. I was "caught" associating with my apostate brother. You know what though I am glad that it is finally out in the open. Now I can be df'd and I can go about living my life. My parents told me to expect a letter informing me when a JC is to be held. I told them to tell the elders not to waste the postage and that I would put anything on the internet they sent me. I was pissed off when I told them that and I kind of regret saying that but I had completely had it with them invading my privacy. After they "busted" us on my patio and were talking down to both of us. The way they were acting it was like they caught me having an affair or something. It was so stupid how it went down. I told them to leave. I have been thinking about sending the elders a letter telling them I fired their publishing company as my religion. I am 98% sure I will do that. So I predict within the next 2 weeks it will be announced that LeftBehind is no longer a JW and I could not be happier. Ya it's going to suck not having my family in my life and being shunned but I will have the freedom that comes with being df'd and I think it's worth that price.
