Queen - Live Killers Tour three and a half hours plus, no opening act they did not need one!
Ozzy w/Randy - Def Leppard opened Original line up.
Kiss - awesome show
Black Sabbath - w/Dio
Rush - Always a great show
Garth Brooks another great show.
About 100 others but these were the best.
actually he is hardly a kid anymore.....and is in bethel dammit!..........but why is it that when i was a good jw account servant i could guide, influence, direct him... totally... in all religious matters......which of course is why he believes what he believes and is at bethel (damm i was good huh!
) but now that i am faded and a vocal apostate (not dfd but called apostate behind my back) i am supposed to shut up and not share any of my new found real truths with him?.
my ex-wife hardass jw just gave me grief for this, my hardass current jw wife just gave me grief for this, my elder/dad gave me grief for this....and even my bethel son gave me grief for this....ya know i think jesus said you should not put your bright light under a basket!....but they all tell me to.

Sorry for your situation I know it sucks. I find it very disturbing the amount of mind control they are able to hold on folks. Think about it we attend for some time, we see the lies and then we leave. However, we still obey their rules, even though we know they are not God's chosen we ack as if they are. We are told that if we leave then WE are to avoid talking to them!. I remember being told that if I was to leave and later see another witness walking toward me I was to cross the street or somehow avoid a meeting. I is our responsabilitiy to make their rules easy for them to obey. One day a friend of my wife wanted to borrw our truck to do some moving, he was very friendly and buddy - buddy anded me. I said yes and when he returned it I asked if he finished the job of if he needed it another day. He did not respond even though I asked him a second time. I told that he was an ass to which she replied that I was the ass for trying to talk to him since I was not following the rules! I realized then who foolish I was for not being aware of how deep their mind control is. Now I make it a point to talk to witness especally in public just to show them they don't control me.

and if my jw mom did not want blood, i would respect her wishes, too--- even now.
If the person is an adult and maid their own minds up I would respect their wishes. However if they were under 21 I would follow whatever the doctor said would be the best course to take. I don't want to be blood guilty. And if for some reason the JW's are right and god wants to punish me as well as the child for allowing the blood, then fine I would not serve a god that did not value life.

gb losch seems to be the top dog for dumbness.. in the local halls i've seen and heard many dumb elders open their mouths.. one elder had a fondness for bible prophecy and watchtower chronology.
he always speculated on what the "watchtower really means" about a statement in print.
One elder giving a talk about "allowed marital sex" said the scripture about - Giving the wife her due and she doing likewise - was not about sex but about treating each other nicely. Afterword I asked him if that meant that during a time of prayer do they stop terating each other nicely, since that is what the scripture says?
Another elder was so aginst gatherings of any kind, other than mtgs. He would show countless pics from the WT and say "Count how many people are shown at these depictions of gatherings, there is never more than 8 or 9, so we should not have gatherings with more than that many people."
Before my parents were even babtized they would have the book study in their house (they have had their eye on my dads house from day one). I was at the book stude and the elder conducting the study looks right at me and says "Anyone who plays or listens to rock music, is a fornicator, and a worshiper of Satan, and therefore has no place in J's organization. At the time I had a band and my father had allowed us to make our garage a sound dampened rehersal room. I closed the book went to the garage plugged in my guitar, turned my amps all the way up and just started jamming. At that time my dad supported me as did my mom. They were asked by the conductor and his wife if they would make me stop playing until after the study and they both said no. They then said that they would not recommend him asking me either. Funny thing was that nobody else seemed to mind and three of them came out into the garage after the study to listen.
I have hundreds of these as we all do.
i'm no tax expert, but in the us i would think it would depend on their income.
there is a threshold below which you don't have to file taxes--5 or 6 thousand dollars as i recall.
What about the GB, do they pay taxes? They may not get a large "paycheck" but they do get cars, housing, air fair, gifts etc. Should all this not also be taxed.
Every year at tax time I try and and put my wifes donations to the WT on our return, and she freaks out saying that we can't tell the government that the WT gets our donations. She is affraid the government will then tax the WT, or at least use the information aginst them. And she works part time for H&R Block so she should know better.
I want to thank all of you so much, it is truely overwhelming to have this much love and support. I have to shake my head in amazment that this is coming from total strangers. Those who know me have no clue what I'm feeling and when I try and express it I am ridiculed - so much for unconditional love! I have reasons for sticking around and they are important to me, my son and my dog. I do love my wife but she has the b'org and she feels that is the end all, be all. She may miss me if I left but I'm not sure. But with my son and my dog I do believe I can cope, at least for now.

-the menendez brothers after killing their parents were found not guilty by the jury.
being asked why they decided the case that way the reason given was "those boys are so handsome and now they don't even have a mother.
I totally agree on the drug issue, however I would make one stipulation. If someone chose to use drugs and then becomes ill addectid or what ever then it is their problem to deal with not the rest of us. I don't want my tax dollars going to support someone because they mad the wrong choice.
On the judge or jury choice, the jury is useally the best way to go now since there are a lot of ignorant people out there.
