with all the hurt and pain from so many witness's being insulted by the socitys strange veiws on so many issues that it claims is from gods own heart, it leads me at times to ask: "jehovah just where are you and do you really see anything at all going on with in an oranization that claims to be your own".

This Jehovah, while more than a one hit wonder, has moved on in to obscurity. You can catch up with that crazy guy on the "where are they now" episode to air sometime in late 2005. He's sure to try and stir things up again.

well, today i did something that in most years past i would have believed would have resulted in me being struck by lightning; i attended a religious service other than the jw's.
this is the first time i've ever been to another religious service.
I've thought about a Unitarian church, just for the heck of it. I feel I am more agnostic than anything, but I'd go mainly to meet people who aren't likely to shove the bible down my throat.
In making friends now, which I've had to start over and do since leaving the borg, I am finding that people are so much more interesting. And how I love to have friends over and when we pass around the spinach dip, no one feels the need to bow their head. And no one says silly things like, "...wonder if we'll have football in the new system" None of that crap comes up.
Well, let me know if you go back to that church. I'm considering giving them a try. Don't need a church or a religion like I said, just like the idea of meeting new and very different individuals.

I've not been DF nor have I DA'd myself. I have made it clear that I do not want anything to do with the borg since about last summer. I was harrassed for awhile but it's quieted down. That won't last as the congregations are shrinking around here. They go out the back faster than they come in the front. I think all they can do is try to go after the ones that "drifted" away. I've been harrassed to write a DA letter but I refuse to do anything for them. I've done enough. :)
I am currently being shunned but I can take it. Unfortunately there are many who struggle with this because their circumstances are far worse than mine.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and post around if I can. Thankyou all.
