Headquarters representatives visit to UK 2015
by Saltheart Foamfollower ina letter is to be read out at service meetings this week in the uk saying that sam herd & john larson are visiting next april.
on sat 25th there will be a 3 hour programme streamed to all congs.
the postscript (not to be read out) instructs congs that haven't already done so, to order the necessary equipment.

by Simon ini had originally thought that making the rules clear about what was and wasn't going to be allowed when discussing the michael brown verdict that we'd be able to avoid some of the unpleasantness that surrounded the subsequent trayvon martin trial discussions.. michael brown verdict discussion policy.
i had hoped that once the evidence came out there would not be as many people promoting opinions that contradicted it.
unfortunately, that appears to have been naive of me.

OJ was innocent in the criminal system, but "liable" for money damages in the civil system. There is a difference in "beyond a reasonable doublt" and "preponderance of the evidence."
No jury, man, judicial committee ever knows exactly what actually occurred. But, until God opens up the Heavens, our system (set by God to Moses) is the best we have.

Has there ever been an assembly in the history of the WTS without a deficit announced? You should start a friendly wager on how much the deficit is goign to be. Sister H, "I bet you there will be a $5,000 deficit announced." Sister J, "No, I bet you $5,001" The closest JW without going over gets a gas card bought by the other JWs. Kind of like Price Is Right. Modus operandi of a filthy cult.

Remember, when they recommended burning anything evil? Had to get rid of it, and that didn't mean donating it to the KH or another JW family. You weren't even supposed to sell/donate your old Christmas stuff if you converted. It had to be thrown away or burnt. So, every JW should just burn their money. The WTS doesn't need new buildings if the End is real soon.

Interesting conversation today with a very sick JW
by joe134cd ini was talking to a jw friend of mine who is going for tests to see if she needs evasive surgery.
she was describing to me the look on the surgeons face when she told him she won't except blood.
i just felt sorry for her.

Ditto. One JW I know is always talking about his death. Isn't going to enjoy life, or do anything but go to the eetings and in service until the End comes.

Be effective or people will die
by Odrade inmy husband and i have been out of the org for quite some time, but still find that old ideas and values come up and bite us on the ass.. lately, i've been plagued by an increase in the frequency and severity of my nightmares (which have always been an issue,) so i've begun to dream journal.
in just a few days, this realization cropped up.
i can't save people.. i've been blogging again recently.

I had a crazy JW nightmare last night. I woke up and said, "Skeeter, that didn't make any sense." I went back to sleep and woke to a new day. I can't remember the dream, but FSU won today. So, all is right with the world.

How does she feel about blood fractions which are allowed?
Hemoglobin is allowed, and it is almost all of the red blood cell (except the skin). She might be able to get that, depending on teh country, through a special program that releases it to patients as an experiment.
All fractions of blood are allowed, not just hemoglobin. Albumin, clotting factors, immunoglobulins, etc. Also, cryopreciptiate, and croprenatate are allowed, and both of them together make up plasma. While she can't have plasma, she can have the two components of it.
While she can't have her own blood, she can have her own blood if it's called "current therapy."

Positive facebook posts and who 'likes' them.
by disposable hero of hypocrisy ini've been conducting a little experiment.
if i post funny things on my facebook timeline, or interesting things, all my jw friends comment, like, share etc.. .
without fail though, (so far) , if i post something humanitarian, something charitable, some local interest good news story about the community coming together as one, it's very rare for any of my witness friends to 'like', comment, or share.
